I visited with my Mum and my sister for two nights recently and we were made very welcome at this lovely, friendly hotel. We stayed in the family room and the quality of sleep we all had was excellent. The room is huge! It is also very beautiful with a nice view. Our room faced the front, but we had... More

Pleasantly surprised by style and quality of hotel, website pictures do not do it justice! Period hotel situated just off the Great Western Road. Excellent hospitality and superbly priced drink and refreshments. Double room was deceptively spacious and well finished. At time of staying, hotel was undergoing a period of refurbishment but did not affect our stay and would stay... More

Spent a couple of nights here in March. Comfortable bed, well fitted bathroom. Cracking breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Asked for and paid the extra couple of pounds for a kettle in the bedroom. The staircase is being refurbished and will be absolutely stunning when finished. Would be a good option for a simple family holiday weekend.

The hotel itself is really nice and I'd have given it a minimum of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if they had paid a bit more attention to detail. The rooms are nicely furnished, and the staff friendly. My one complaint is that there were no tea facilities in the room.

great hotel, room spacious and clean, excellent breakfast, every member of staff helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble for them. Had read about no tea/coffee in room so took our own kettle etc with us. parking could be a problem but we did find a space every day. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for two nights last weekend and found the staff to be friendly and efficient. I had a single room in the basement at the front... just under the steps leading to the front door. So my room was quite cold and dark...lucky it had a little heater! It was clean and comfortable, but the view was of a lot... More
