I recently stayed here for with a few friends for a girls weekend away. we arrived at the hotel too early to check in but the receptionists were more than happy to store our luggage away for us which was great. The hotel is quite far from the city centre but only took us about 15 mins on foot. Taxis... More

I was attending a conference at the SECC, and found the hotels right next door to be a little pricey. I chose the Argyll Hotel via booking.com, as from the reviews it seemed reasonably priced without sacrificing quality, and well-located on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. We received a very warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel at around 11pm Friday night.... More

On a Friday night it seems a very lively street and I was kept awake until 1am despite being tired. The rest of the family slept like babies though. Our room was wonderfully spacious and warm and breakfast was good. Location was great too and we had no problem finding a car parking space outside the hotel.

We stayed here while our daughter was at the nearby Yorkhill Children's Hospital. Positives: good price, very friendly and helpful reception, spotless room, very comfortable bed, remarkably quiet (our room faced away from the road), Scottish breakfast. Negatives: iffy coffee with breakfast, difficult parking nearby (weekday), broken lift.

Stayed for 2 nights for a Valentine weekend and after being upgraded from the Argyll Guesthouse the weekend started well. However, being put on the top floor with a broken lift did not dampen our spirits. Hotel was very clean and tidy, didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that. Location wad excellent for the local nightlife and we'll... More

Our first visit to Scotland. We stayed at this perfectly adequate hotel, for 2 nights. The receptionist was welcoming and made a point of offering any assistance during our visit. Our room was on the ground floor, not road side. Consequently it was a quiet stay. The room was clean, bed linen was fresh and crisp. Slight niggle was the... More

After a bad experience in Edinburgh we were pleasantly surprised at this hotel for the price. Had booked 2 rooms as travelling with daughter. The rooms were good size and clean and modern. My husband and I had room 5 in the guesthouse. This room is on Sauchihall Street and is rather noisy, however we both have iPods so no... More

Room was a decent size and clean. Location was great for us. within walking distance of family but close to lots of bars and restaurants. Bed very comfortable. Only downside was the shower....it was more of a trickle but overall our stay was good. I would recommend.
