We stayed here on Easter Sunday as a last minute booking for one night. The room was very clean and you could tell it had been recently updated. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of town near to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and park. The hotel does not have private parking but there is on-street parking which... More

We stopped in the Argyll on our way up north. Great for a stop. Comfy rooms and modern bathroom, excellent service at breakfast and by the receptionist. It has a couple of spaces for parking at the back. Its not for a romantic hotel night, more for a stop on a longer trip but we enjoyed it all the same.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our mum and dad. The rooms are clean, cozy and well decorated. Really had a relaxing time. The location is also very good as it is near to the Glasgow University and Kelvingrove art gallery. City center is 20 mins by walking and 5 mins by cab which will take £5 to any... More

Again another great stay at the Argyll Hotel. The Reception Area has been recently refurbished & we believe the rooms/bathrooms will be getting done in the near future too. All of which is good news. It's in such a good location for restaurants, bars, local park, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, SECC etc.

The Argyll has been a favourite place to stay in Glasgow for more than a decade now, but it is a bit of a curates egg. The good points are:- 1) Great location especially for the SECC, university and Kelvingrove museum. 2) Fantastic breakfasts served by friendly and helpful staff 3) Free wi-fi (But it is verrrrrry slow) 4) Free... Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback. I would like to personally address the points raised in your review. The location definitely is great as we are only 10 minutes walk from the new SSE Hydro or the SECC, 5 mins walk from the University of Glasgow and walking distance from various other tourist attractions. Breakfast is always excellent and... More

Stayed here with friends for a weekend to celebrate my 40 th birthday. My room was fairly small but clean and comfy. My friends room was huge and recently refurbed. Breakfast was good, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very reasonably priced, would use again.

Due mainly to the price and proximity to the University which I was visiting, I stayed here for two nights in February. Staff were friendly, checking in (pretty late) was no problem and there's a lift so I wasn't sweating by the 3rd floor. I wandered into the room at around 11pm and noted a strange buzzing noise, but didn't... More

Stayed here for 2 days last weekend, while visiting The Exhibition Centre and meeting friends. The room we stayed in was a little tired but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed with a nice enough bathroom although you couldn't move much in the shower! The beds were a little hard but better than being soft. Our friends had a... More
