Attractive hotel; great location making it esay to see many sights on foot. Parking a real bonus. The room was fine, well furnished; good, clean bathroom. Not many toiletries or added extras- not luxurious but OK for a well priced city break. Breakfast good, friendly staff. Reception staff sometimes miserable and lacking in the skills of dealing with guests. more

The location of this hotel is excellent, with many local attractions in walking distance. The hotel is well run, clean and the staff very helpful. more

We stayed overnight at this hotel and were disappointed to say the least. Compared to the other hotels we stayed at during our vacation, this was bad. We were told while booking that parking was available but when we arrived we were told the lot was full. The only option given was to leave the rental on the street where... more

Stayed here for 4 nights at a conference nearby. Great breakfast buffets, comfortable seemingly recently redecorated room, great location for city centre/Glasgow Uni and nice bars/restaurants on Argyle Street, very quiet at night. Only slight complaint is that because room was at the top of the hotel and was a bit of a sun trap it could be stifilingly warm... more

A well-located hybrid hotel (cross between a full-on hotel and a BnB) not too far from the center--just 15 - 20 minute walk away. The Argyll met my needs comfortably for my one-night stay. A quiet room, a genial staff and a very generous breakfast buffet. My main criticism is that my room had a faint musty smell and the... more

A single traveller. I was in town to visit my daughter at the University of Glasgow. very convenient to many pubs and restaurants. Close to museums, the park, and transportation. I found the staff to be friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The price was right and I had all I needed for the week I was there.... more

We arrived Argyll for a double room, but got the honeymoon suite! It's not that I would like to spend my honeymoon there, but expecting a double room - it's was quite good. The hotel was located a little walk from the park, some discos and bars, and was ok. more

On the 22nd of December, i called the Hotel to arrange a table for myself and family, 4 in total in the restaurant . I asked if we could book a table for 5:30pm as we were going to the SECC to see a show at 7:30pm on Tues. 6th Janaury, this was duly agreed and booked. On the afternoon... more

My husband booked a room for two nights at the Argyll following a trip out of the country. We intended to do some sight-seeing in Glasgow before going home. Our plane arrived late on New Year's Eve. When we finally found the hotel, which had no parking, we checked in and were put in the smallest, badly arranged, tackiest, ugliest... more
