Stayed here for a girlie weekend in Glasgow. The hotel was lovely and clean and nice and modern. Sparkling bathroom! Only used the hotel as a base to stay at. There did not seem to be much life about it but this didn’t bother us as we were out in the city centre at night and shopping during the day!... more

The Pond is ideally located if you plan to visit the West End of Glasgow, and is great value. From other reviewer’s comments, it's clear that the hotel has been refurbished recently, with all public areas looking great. My bedroom on the 3rd floor was equally impressive, with a gleaming bathroom, tea & coffee facilities and an LCD TV. I... more

You are meet by a big enterance will lovely staff at the desk. Our rooms were lovely and big. Food was great and breakfasts were nice with lots of choice. Hotel has great bus links into the town (But make sure you have the right money as they don't give change) and huge car park so no worries there. more

Was in Glasgow for a concert at Hampden Park. Stayed here as hubby wanted somewhere safe to park his car. We were booked into room 120 - the front of the hotel. Right beside the fan extractors ..........!! Got back to the hotel around midnight and tried to sleep - the noise from outside the window didnt help. At 3am... more

Chose this hotel because it accepted dogs, previous experience of such hotels has been either a poor room or a surcharge, not so here. Stayed with my wife for two nights in a good sized room, largish multi channel LCD TV was appreciated. The staff were excellent as was the general appearance of the room and communal areas. I believe... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2008 and while the hotel was clean throughout (which was our most important consideration) the food was only average and overpriced. Drinks were even more expensive (eg £5 for large glass of house wine and £3.35 for pint of Guinness). But the biggest problem was the heat - There is no air... more

Spent one night here. The room was very good and clean and as was the whole hotel. Staff were friendly and helpfull. They have dropped a mark though. When I went to the restaurant for my 8:00pm booking, I faced a room with only half the tables in use but was told I would have to wait 20 minutes for... more

I saw a weekend 2-4-1 deal on the hotel's own web site. £45 per room (for 2) per night with breakfast. I web-shopped around a bit and got it down to £42.50 but ended up having to phone the hotel to confirm, as the other site was tricky to use and often not working. (Not TripAdvisor!) All was fine, though.... more

Stayed here for 3 nights to see Glasgow. Lovely hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are modern and immaculately clean. A bit out of the centre of town but lots of buses from opposite the hotel. Cost £6 to return in taxi from city centre which is good value for money. Great breakfast, including toast freshly made... more

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is pleasant, clean and convenient, (but not centrally located) close to the west end for all museums and plenty of restaurants can be had on nearby Byers Road. A very agreeable Indian Restaurant can be found on Church Road. Free parking with plenty of space is available. Nicely... more
