I found the bed very comfortable and slept very well. I found black marks on the walls, their was an hole in the bathroom door, found dust on top of cabinates, I also found bits of food underneath the bed. Their were no towels supplied. The room was an reasonable size but paying that amount for one night I would... More

The rooms were clean and fresh with clean towels provided every day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful but lacked just something..... Down sides - there is no lift and we were on the third floor which was a big hike. The rooms towards the front of the hotel are noisy, however that is inevitable given the... More

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Margaret on Reception. The double room on the ground floor was small and adequate only for one person, and the shower room was fine. Both were clean. However the paper thin walls did not mask the heavy snoring from the room next door which meant my sleep was disturbed - sounded like the person... More

Yes I know it was he Commonwealth Games - so I expected to pay a bit extra, but I do hope this hotel uses the large profit it made during the games to clean the place up. Must have had the smallest room in Glasgow, very basic, and just saved from being totally claustophobic by being able to open the... More

I can't believe we spent so much money and got so little value for this hotel. The hotel itself is in need of a lot of tender loving care. The room was as basic as it comes with shower needing upgrading. The decor needs some tlc and the furnishings were ok but basic. Toiletries in the hotel was a bar... More

Having read previous reviews, my boyfriend and I were slightly worried about what we were coming to, we however feel that some of the reviews on here have been misplaced for the other Rennie Mackintosh hotel in Glasgow, we stayed in the one near the School of Art. When we arrived at 1pm our room was ready, however we felt... More

I must have been staying at a different hotel or my standards must be really low. As I spent one night at The Rennie Macintosh hotel and did not have any complaints and I had a comfortable nights sleep. The night porter was friendly and polite and there was tea and coffee facilities in the room. I was in room... More

Not a bad place to stay for the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic but did the job. Location was great, close to town but still quite. I would stay here again ☺ Stayed here with my sister.

Nice and clean hotel, but nothing spectacular. It was ok for a budget stay at new year. Would visit again, but only if necessary. Receptionist was helpful enough and was able to book a taxi for us quite promptly. Nothing special, but not bad.

If you are used to staying in hotels with filthy beds, stained with urine and faeces, carpets with God knows what on them, you will love it here! Otherwise keep well away! Even after the receptionist saw the state of the bedding, and agreed she wouldn't sleep in it, still the owner refused to speak to us! The street itself... More
