My review starts with a message to the hotel manager - I do not need a reply as I am aware that you fulfilled your obligations to the letter. This is not my reason for the bad review. In August I booked 2 separate hotels for myself and my husband, and the Rennie Mackintosh Art School Hotel for my mother.... More

It's basic, it's reasonably cheap, don't expect anything fancy, staff were helpful location not ideal, up a hill and steep steps.Window that didn't lock, large hole in carpet, no soap in dispenser in bathroom

A truly warm welcome made us feel right at home. The room was immaculately clean as was the bathroom. s a Mackintosh fan it was lovely to see the decor was in vogue. The dining area also kept to the design. The surrounding area was a pleasure to explore.

Styed here only for one night when on a very tight budget do it did the trick from that point of view, I suppose the question would be 'would I stay here again'? And I think thet answer is 'maybe but only under desparate circumstances'. The hotel is on a fairly quiet stretch of road close to the city centre... More

This hotel was so bad I checked out after one hour. Room on the top floor via narrow stairs. My room made me depressed as soon as I entered. Just needs a complete overhaul. Scruffy and grubby. No wifi in the bedrooms. Tried to work in the communal lounge with Jeremy Kyle on the TV! The Grasshopper hotel is about... More

We visited the hotel in July 2015 as a part of our tour to Skotland, on our quick stop to Glasgow. We found the hotel from booking.com. The hotel was dissapointment and compared to our other accommodations, it did not meet the expectations in relation to the price. The location of the hotel is good, just next to the Art... More

Stayed here one night with friends when we were going to a concert. Great location close to pubs and restaurants. The rooms were basic, clean and comfortable. Our room had been recently refurbished. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definetly stay here again.

The hotel is brilliantly situated in the middle of Glasgow and close to everything you will need. The staff were friendly and helpful for myself there are too many steps and no lift but they found me a room on a lower floor which was ideal
