Like many other reviewers I took advantage of the £99 offer and booked a Sunday night stay as a little treat for myself and better half. The weather may have been a little grey and damp but the welcome from reception staff certainly wasn't. We were quickly & courteously checked in and off to our room we went. We were... more

Stayed at the Mal on the Wine and Dine for 99 package, must be the best value package ever. Our room was spotless, the staff were courteous. The hotel is just far enough from Buchanan St, to avoid all the hustle and bustle of city life. A perfect getaway for my wife and I to spend some real quality time... more

My husband booked the Mal for one night as we needed a well earned break from our everyday lives. We arrived Friday pm and he had booked a dinner bed and breakfast deal. On booking they had advised we would eat at nine however when asking on check in they were more than willing to see if they could fit... more

Being students, me and my boyfriend needed a nice relaxing break after exams but Paris was a little out our price range. We found their deal of dinner, b&b for £99 and jumped at the chance. Even in busy glasgow we managed to lock ourselves away in this plush hotel pretending we were far far away. The rooms a decent... more

Not so great, noisy pipes behind the wall and a terrible mattress ruined what is otherwise a nice hotel. We ordered room service which took 1 1/2 hours to arrive (It was comp'd). However the breakfast was very nice and the front desk staff where good. If you go, take some ear plugs. 6/10 more

The staff at this hotel are lovely and are very helpful and friendly. I have stayed several times before, and would probably again. The rooms are ok for a 4 star hotel and provide all the expected facilities, such as TV, Iron, Hairdryer, minibar, toiletries etc...my room did smell of smoke even though it was supposed to be non smoking.... more

Our sons and daughters-in-law very kindly bought us a weekend break here as a Christmas present ! So you see, what goes around does (eventually) come around !! We could, however, have chosen a better, weather-wise weekend ; as we left Central Station to walk the few blocks (uphill) to the Malmaison, the rain lashed down in biblical proportions, and... more

Stayed for one night (26th/27th Dec 07). Staff were Extremely Helpful, Room was of a reasonable size with all the amenities you would expect from a 4* hotel including tea coffee making (with ground coffee), minibar (reasonable prices for a hotel) Iron, Flatscreen satellite tv, cable for Internet, french windows+ others. Bathroom was compact but fitted to a high standard/... more

Some may say faded grandeur but its more a case of gothic overload. Could have hit 'character' but overdid it and hit 'too dark'. Dim lighting makes you wonder what they are hiding - and what you could see is peeling and chipped paintwork. Needs a re-do. Restaurant OK for romantic but since that doesn't represent the majority clientele it... more

Booked a weekend away at short notice in celebration of my wife's new job. Fantastic deal of under £50 per head for half board. Directions to the hotel were clear and concise, reception staff were polite and helpful regarding luggage and parking. The parking was on street but there were bags of spaces and it is free overnight and on... more
