Everything all friends of the Mal love!! Beautiful architecture, somewhat gloomy relaxing atmosphere that makes you breathe deeply and relax. Helpful staff and everything you need just a call away....whether thats food or bubbles to drink. Lovely touch of filter coffee in rooms and fabulously stocked mini bar....why leave your room? Glasgow Malmaison enjoying some refurbishment and we were totally... More

booked online via Expedia. Arrived at hotel to be told the bar and bistro are closed for a refurb with the bar now oddly relocated to the lobby. Luckily I had made reservations elsewhere but I'd wait til the work is finished before staying here again

The hotel is ok - it is not a boutique hotel - a boutique experience requires more than dim lights and black tiles in the bathroom. The place needs some attention - I'm conscious the restaurant area is currently being refitted - hopefully the owners will continue the job in other areas. The staff are friendly. The reception area is... More

Dark, dusty, dreary, noisy, scrimping, just some of the adjectives to describe our stay here. We were celebrating a special occasion and thought booking a duplex suite would be luxurious and special - it was dusty, darkly decorated with tired furniture. The bed was comfy, not that I slept much - kept awake by the sound of cars driving up... More

Highlight of the visit was the range of Gin's in the bar and the knowledge of the bar staff. Both comprehensive. Hotel is typically Malmaison "quirky", but a bit noisy; both outside traffic and water pipes in the room. Breakfast is superb (as it is at all Malmaisons).

Out of all the hotels I've stayed in this has probably been the worst, from the dark bad decor to noise to most things not working I was highly disappointed and it's not even a cheap hotel which makes it worse... Not somewhere I'm in a rush to revisit

We needed an early check in after an overnight transatlantic flight. The staff were very helpful and flexible about this which made a massive difference and for which we were very grateful. The room was comfortable. I'm not a great fan of fixed overhead showers but it was ok. Our room was extremely noisy with outside noise throughout the night... More

As a fan of Malmaison hotels generally and visiting Glasgow for work it was with confidence that we arrived at Mal looking forward to a rest before a heavy couple of office days . We had been warned in advance that renovation work was being carried out and a very exciting addition due to be finished shortly but as the... More

We had a really quite pleasant stay in a very sunny Glasgow. The location of the hotel is great - not brilliant for parking if you are driving. We had stayed in the sister Hotel du Vin before, and as this was a sister hotel we perhaps were expecting a bit more. That was my fault as it does not... More

The rooms are great - it's been a while since I stayed last and it has been redecorated. The rooms and check in we're great, the let down was the restaurant. I had brought my team here to have a meal as thank you for all of their hard work - I won't be doing that again. We had to... More
