Upon booking we received an email offering us the possibility of an upgrade for a smallish fee. As we were visiting during a holiday we agreed, having done so before but never being lucky enough to get one. However upon check in for an extra £43 we received a suite. Set over two floors with the bed on the mezzanine... More

The Malmaison hotel is on a lovely quiet area of rhe city. The hotel was once a church, but that is where the similarity ends. The staff at the front desk were friendly and most helpful especially when we asked to change rooms because there was no air conditioning. No problem! The rooms in the original section have high ceilings... More

Most of the building work has been completed so no banging and breakfast was available. Plus points: staff were all excellent, lots of little extras, but on the down side the bedroom decor of black and grey, with low lighting is not to my taste. The bedding whilst clean, had a strange odour as if it had been stored next... More

Stayed here with my wife on a Friday evening. The hotel is well situated and close to the town centre and station. The initial impression is that the hotel is dark and dreary and sadly, the initial room we were allocated was close enough to the bar to clearly hear the shouted conversations of a group seated in there. After... More

On arrival found out the hotel was being refurbished. Never received any notification to pre warn me before or after I booked my reservation. Construction was non stop, 24 hours with hammering and drilling at night. I complained to the hotel staff but they seemed to get more upset than me. I have stated here many times in the past... More

I stayed at the Malmaison in October and came away feeling rather disappointed and let down by the hotel. On arrival we were advised the bar and brasserie were closed for refurbishment and to be honest I feel the whole hotel could do with the same. We were in room 550 and on entering the room I didn't feel the... More

I arrived at Malmaison Glasgow on a very very wet Saturday Morning a couple of weeks ago. Straight away I was made to feel welcome. The staff on reception came out side and assisted with my luggage and helped me inside. I had arrived very early as we had plans for the day but the staff were still able to... More

Close to the end, apparently, the refurb brings a new chef, a redone bar, more modernity and a face lift to the tired and fading beauty. The building is gorgeous. The rooms huge with great sitting space. Mine has a new carpet ( as of today!). The beds sublime. Great city location. Great team - the service is super friendly... More
