There are apparently more Malmaison Hotels around Scotland but I haven't come across them before. The one in Glasgow is like a slightly down-at-heel W hotel, designed for the cool customer who doesn't like the bland decor of a big hotel chain. When we stayed in the Malmaison we had the benefit of staying in one of the suites and they do not disappoint, well worth the money for the upgrade. Stayed with my other half on Sat 18th Feb for her birthday. Front desk staff were friendly and polite. However Room was a let down, the carpet had an orange stain on it as if someone had spilled Irn Bru on it, several light bulbs in the room were not working and the "heated" towel rail was also not working....
