The place is fine. The staff are ok... nice enough. The room was clean and tidy. However, there were people chatting out loud and arguing in the kitchen when I arrived, and even more people partying out loud in the living-room until past 2am.

The first thing I wanna say is the nice price, really nice for backpackers or students. And hostel is very close to the rail station and morrisons supermarket, nice location. Tidy room, very kind staffs, big kitchen, overall, it's a wonderful experience to stay here.

I have had the chance to spend some nights in a couple of hostels in Glasgow. But until I discovered Alba Hostel, I was always counting my days in Glasgow. In Alba, it feels like home and you wouldn't even know you are miles away from home. Nii

The price is exciting, only £10 for a single room a day. The staff here are very kind and helpful. The only defect is that the network get unstable when the hostel is almost full. The kitchen is clean and have all kinds of the devices you need.

Stayed in Alba Hostel for 15 days in March during a training course with 14 students. The hostel staff are very polite and attended all requests we had with professionalism and they were very courteous and friendly. There are two kitchen in this hostel, you can make any foods you like. It is near the railway station, so you can go anywhere conveniently. What's more, the rents are piffling. That is a wonderful... I spent two months in the Alba hostel. It is excellent. It is safe and clean. The managers are very kind and nice. The kitchen is a grate help, as I am Chinese and do not like the Scottish or English food. A big supermarket is near Alba and a railway station is also just beside. You can go anywhere... More

I had to cancel my booking due to family circumstances having altered. The proprietor very kindly did not charge me the penalty charge, and responded promptly with courtesy and kindness. I was very touched and pleased at his consideration. I had visited the accommodation previously when in Glasgow to make the booking, and from what I saw then the hostel... More
