This hotel was quaint and had character unlike some of the hotels I have stayed in. I usually stay in the centre of Glasgow for work but all of the prices had gone up due to some important vote that was due that week. Heavy curtains, quality bedding, ornate table lamps and an elegant staircase outside the room were the... More

This is not a luxury hotel by any means but for a couple of nights is good value. We only really needed a bed for the night and I am glad we decided to stay here as only 5 minutes from a venue we were attending. The staff were helpful the room we had was large and the bed comfortable....reasonably... More

The hotel is mostly sort of OK, the breakfast is an individually cooked with plenty of toast and coffee/ juice and the bar area is buzzy (bit like the local pub of old) - that's the good bit, The less good is that rooms are old and have had no investment, the showers are very erratic, wait for hot water... We had a room booked for the day due to my husband driving a lorry through the night...he was involved in collecting goods from the Athletes Village to take back to the south of England. Well, we were put in room 22 which is situated behind a 'PRIVATE' door? Had hardly any sleep! Slam, slam, slam of the door, stomp,... More

We booked this hotel before reading the reviews because it was very close to the Ross Hope Hospital which I was attending for a consultation. Once I read the reviews I was very apprehensive, but I need not have worried. The room was clean, staff friendly and the locals were great. Our evening meal was good and although you have... More

I was looking for suitable premises to use for my Business whilst many of us came up from England to work on a project in the area. I E mailed this Hotel just to find out if there was any free secure parking. All I have received was an E mail asking me to phone them 'To discuss' this??? What??... More

I was at this hotel in September 2013. A great looking place. Food was wonderful. My family held my 50 th birthday party there. The staff went out of their way to see to our needs. I stopped by several time during my stay and the staff was always happy to see you there. Always "thank you" and "glad you're... More

What a wonderful place. Anyone here complaining about rooms etc. if you wanted something fancy go to a big brand name hotel... why are you staying in a little suburb of Glasgow? If you are high maintenance or a princess- don't stay here. If you want to meet some of the best people you'll ever meet in your life- stay... More

I might have stayed in worse hotels but none come to mind. Room was basic to say the least and bed-covers had a musty smell. En-suite was more of an en-bog! Terrible shower with a note on bathroom door saying...."please run the shower for 2 mins before using!!!" Even after doing that it went intermittently hot and cold which turned... More
