Stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend and it was wonderful! The B&B is located about a 5-10 minute train ride from Glasgow center (which is 1.50 pounds roundtrip), it is very clean and Bill is incredibly friendly and helpful! I had no complaints and would stay there again. more

A great place to stay clean comfortable and good value for money ,only stayed one night as we were at a concert at Hampden but would heartily reccomend to anyone wanting to stay in the real Glasgow.Perfect hosts and nice touches such as the dressing gowns and slippers,which was great as we all travelled very light,will definately be back. more
A perfect balance between feeling like a "local" and being well taken care of. Set in a quiet residential neighborhood, but still only minutes from everything. Good local restaurants popular with locals help you get the feel of what it's like to live in this charming area. The hosts could not be more accommodating and helpful especially in local knowledge.... more
Our stay at the 1883 Guesthouse was truly wonderful...Our hosts welcomed us like we were family and were helpful in so many ways throughout our stay. I would highly recommend the Guesthouse to anyone visiting the Glasgow area.. There are several small and ethnically diverse eating establishments within easy walking distance as well. more

My stay was very delightful. The hosts were very nice and accommodating in every way. This was a very cozy quiet place to stay with extremely comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. A warm welcome, clean, helpful, easy access to and from city centre with only a few minutes by train and foot. Room was bright and cheerful with TV coffee etc all to hand. Comfortable bed. Definitely one to remember for the future. more
This bed and breakfast provided convenience, comfort, and character. It is easy to get to via cab or rail, and the hosts are extremely helpful. It was clean and the food was satisfying.
