Booked here for my 3 week stay during the Commonwealth Games, and glad that I did. From booking to leaving found the staff excellent throughout. Fiona & Phillipa were possibly the kindest and most helpful people I've dealt with whilst staying away from home. It is a hostel, and you can't expect hotel standards, but at less than £25 per... I stayed during the Commonwealth Games. The accommodation is basic but good for the price considering the city centre location. Parking and washing facilities available. During the stay the building experienced problems with fire detection system resulting in the cookers being put out of action. However the staff made every effort to help residents which was much appreciated - many... More

Just stayed for a couple of nights in this great hostel/halls of residence. It's not exactly furnished in up to the minute style but there are plenty of things to recommend it all the same. Firstly, the staff I dealt with both during the booking process and the check-in and out were all superb, both friendly and efficient. Nothing was... More

I am staying here for 1 week whilst working for the Commonwealth Games as a volunteer and its absolutely fine. You get what it says on the box. Its student accommodation that is used as a hostel during school break. The location is good, just 20 minutes walk for a 60 yr old man from Central Station and five minutes... More

Not the most modern or comfortable place I have stayed in. My room had a bad mouldy smell and the shower took some figuring out. Enough cupboard space though and the bed was ok, not great, but ok. The kitchens where huge, but it was almost impossible to get the stoveplates to heat up. As you can hear don't expect... More

Good value for travelling. The streets aren't good for go to the center because there are hardly street-climbs/reductions, anyway you can go on Gran Central Station in 10-15min of walk. The room aren't cleany so much, there aren't any towels and hair-heaters, the hostel offers a Bathroom (optional), Bed, Table, Bedside Table and 6 UK power sources. By the way... More

I have stayed here on four or five occasions when spending a long weekend in Glasgow. It's fair to day that the rooms have varied over the years in terms of cleanliness and general presentation - however, I have always found the student staff to be very helpful and obliging. This year I noticed a distinct improvement in the rooms... More

Location and price sold me on this. It's just around the corner from the Glasgow School of Art, and is usually occupied by students from the school during term time. During the holidays they rent out rooms hostel-style. All I can say is, pity the students who have to stay here all the time. The building in general has that... More
