Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be rather mediocre with quite a few smaller annoyances: our room (116) had nothing to hang jackets on, nothing to put suitcases on, no hooks to put towels on in the bathroom, a rather small cupboard, no possibility to open the (rather dirty) windows, the kitchen ventilation right in front of our window (maybe... Extremely friendly staff at Reception and in the Restaurant called Bukhara, which served excellent Indian style food and happy to provide dishes not included on the menu. The Reception Area and Bar are very well appointed with effective lighting. The double room which we had was very clean and although there wasn't much space at the side of the large... More

When going to a concert in the Glasgow Hydro it will be a good idea to stay in the Lorne Hotel, affordable, good service, just a little walk (10 minutes) from the Hydro and...only a 20-minute walk from the famous Westend. a 5 minute walk from the train to Glasgow Central. The museums are on walking distance as well (10... More

I travel a fair amount, mostly in the US were there's a fairly high standard so that's my yardstick. We (8 of us) only stayed one Saturday night after watching Celtic, but couldn't ask for anything more from a hotel. Staff were all helpful, friendly and attentive, our room on the fifth floor was modern and spotless. The restaurant service... More

Here we go again. Book your room through an on-line agent, in this case, ‘last minute.com’ and you may end up in a 3rd floor rear disabled room with stained carpets next to the lifts and backing on to the noisy 24 hour running exterior air conditioning or extraction fan system. Asked if we had enjoyed a comfortable night by... More

This hotel is great, the deco is everything you would expect and more, it was very clean and modern and i enjoyed every minute. I came for one night, but arrived when Glasgow was in the midst of a heatwave, i managed to check into the hotel at 2pm and go to the air conditioned room and relax, shops were... More

This hotel is perfect for a short city break. Very clean and modern, rooms are small but you have everything you need. The staff are all very polite and helpful. I wouldn't recommend a long stay, we were there for two nights and it was just what we needed. Not too expensive and the cocktail bar downstairs is very good!... More

We booked this hotel thru Travel Republic at £52 b/b per room which was excellent for a city hotel. There were 8 in our party and going to the Kings which was only 5 mins. in a taxi. We ate in the restaurant which was authentic Indian cuisine and great flavours., be aware it is quite expensive. the staff were... More

We stayed for 1 night, 14/07/14 and got the room quite cheap so didnt expect much. We were surprised by the modern hotel we arrived at. Lovely lobby, bar and restaurant area. Staff were faultless, both the receptionists and bar and restaurant staff. Lovely breakfast and quick check out. The Hotel has a few bars and restaurants close by, we... More
