while attending a conference in the SECC building I found the Lorne hotel; 10 minutes walking along many shops. A surprising large and good looking Indian Bukharah restaurant is included. The room was not large but clean and useful and about 80 euro per night including a good breakfest was an acceptable price. the prize of the taxi to the... More

My wife and I were heading to Glasgow for a gig at the hydro and found this wee gem. Cracking location for the hydro and all the bars and restaurants of the west end. You can literally walk to the gig. Rooms are clean and smart. Staff friendly. Fair price. And on a weekend the parking on the street outside... More

Just back from a lovely weekend stay at The Lorne Hotel. We stayed years ago when it was the KelvinPark Lorne and it was so nice to go back. Very welcoming Reception, nice room - cant fault it. We had a great meal in the attached Indian Restaurant on Friday night, very tasty would highly recommend it. There is no... More

Been to this hotel on few occasions, rather surprised as we have not had any of the probs mentioned on the poor reviews. Either we dont pay mich attentikn or have been lucky-or people looking for things to pick at. Always found staff and rooms realy nice. Would come back. The indian place next door/attached is fantastic. Highly recommend.

stayed here for the first time. Nice Hotel, clean spacious rooms, good bar. Great price for the standard of rooms, very friendly staff. My issue is why do there limit Wifi to three hours, it's 2014? The Wifi is great, easy to get on, but please free Wifi, otherwise it's 4 plus all the way.

We stayed here the third week of may and it was quite busy. We got a room looking over a sort of small courtyard near the kitchens the problem was that the kitchen vents were really loud and as we had ben traveling since early morning we wanted to take a nap. well imagine trying to take a nap with... Good bits. Friendly, efficient, pleasant staff, attentive without getting in your way. Reception areas wonderful, modern, clean, nice place to be. Hotel is clean, warm, fresh. Bad(ish) bit: The only fly in the ointment are the rooms, or at least our room, which, if there is more than one of you, is too small, with the smallest "king-size" bed in... More

Only stayed the one night but the room was a good size and the en-suite shower was excellent. The price was very competitive for two including breakfast which was a serve yourself affair but it was all fresh and plentiful if a little oddly laid out. The toast and stuff is hidden round the corner! All the staff we met... More

After reading other reviews I was a bit concerned about coming here. As the title suggests we were pleasantly surprised. Stayed here for 1 night it's a beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are very clean and modern. Brilliant location for SECC. Would stay again and would definitely recommend.
