We (my wife and myself) stayed at the Lorne Hotel Glasgow on 20th September, as it was close to the Glasgow Hydro and we couldn't get a room in the hotels closest to the Hydro. We had problems with the booking in that we booked through "booking.com" in may 2014 who advised that the payment would be due during our... More

I've stayed here a couple of times on business. It's very reasonably priced and the breakfast is good. The rooms are well appointed without being luxurious (but appropriate for the price). The rooms are quite warm as I've found the air conditioning a little lacking. I'd rather open windows, but the openings on the rooms I've been in have been... More

Stayed for six nights on a work trip and generally very good. Location is excellent on the edge of the West End and very convenient to city centre. Local buses, airport bus and even hop on hop off tourist bus stop right outside. Many many restaurants, coffee shops, bars, museums etc within easy walking distance. Room on the 5th floor... More

This was my second stay at the Lorne Hotel. Stayed 2 nights on a business trip. This is one of handful of budget hotels in the area. The Lorne Hotel is definitely the best out of the lot. I had the misfortune to stay at the Devoncove hotel which just across the road. That was one of the worse stays... More

Great hotel. Great location near the Science Centre and Glasgow Tower which we were planning on visiting and surrounded by bars and a walk able distance to the city centre or the main restaurant and bar area. The bed was especially good!! The room was nice and it was exceptionally clean and shiny. We found the whole hotel great. There... More

Must be the noisiest hotel in the world, doors banging all night long. Just as well really that we couldn't sleep as our wake up alarm call was 15 minutes late. On the positive side, room was clean (if a little small) and the location was good for us. Also we were able to borrow a phone charger from reception.

Stayed for three nights...lovely decor in the hotel which gives it quite a boutique feel. We were able to check in early which was really handy! The hotel is in a really good location a short walk away from the west end if wanting to go for drinks in Ashton lane and about a ten minute walk to the hydro-overall... More

Stayed in room 115 for three nights from Monday gone and had a really pleasant experience. The room was a tad on the cosy side (there's more space in budget travelodges!) but the bed was amazing as was the shower. Staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the stay and our room was spotless on our return each day. The... More

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be rather mediocre with quite a few smaller annoyances: our room (116) had nothing to hang jackets on, nothing to put suitcases on, no hooks to put towels on in the bathroom, a rather small cupboard, no possibility to open the (rather dirty) windows, the kitchen ventilation right in front of our window (maybe...
