Having been to a couple of shows recently we chose to stay in the same area as it's easy walking distance to the hydro. We paid a little bit extra to stay at the lorne hotel, but it was worth every penny, were met at the reception by very friendly staff, and stayed in room 331,room was spotless and very... More

Stayed here two nights b & b in September. The room was quite small, but certainly adequate. Tastefully decorated and very clean. Only one tea bag each and only enough sugar for one person. (this sounds trivial, I know), but feel we shouldn't need to ask for an extra teabag. The lounge was very nice, and elevated from the pavement,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lorne. We booked this for overnight stay because we were going to the Hydro which is very close. Room very clean, modern with tea/coffee making facilities etc. Breakfast was great - cereals, juices, cooked items, fruit etc. etc. and as much as you could eat. All in all a great stay and would not... More

Stayed there for 5 nights for a business trip as it was conveniently located close to the conference center and offered a good price. The room was small but clean. I did miss the safe and fridge but this is not something I can live without. Breakfast offered is continental and full English in the restaurant of the hotel which... More

After a bad experience in other hotel, everything always looks good. Nevertheless, and after having quite some experience in hotels accross Europe, I should say that this one has very good standards, the service is also very good, including excelent attention from the reception crew, the bartender, and the room service (actually they are the same people of the restaurant).... I stayed at the hotel on the 3nd of oct 2014 in room 220. 1st off all when checking in the lady was so rude. 2nd when we got to the room we could smell like someone been smoking in the bathroom so we went back down and told the very rude lady to tell her and she said there... More

Currently halfway through my stay at the Lorne. The place is shoddy. Sink doesn't drain, shower is cramped and the door fell off, table is damaged and really cramped, no biscuits with the tea/coffee, small room, the back is missing off the remote, there is incessant noise from the air con/heating outside the room.

I have stayed at this hotel three times and every time has been great. Close to the Hydro and SECC. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good quality. The hotel is attached to an Indian restaurant which is also decent. The cocktail bar is the best bit with a great selection of drinks. Rooms are a wee bit basic,... More

Myself and my boyfriend went here for an overnight we arrived and luckily there was a space right outside which you need to pay for! The receptionist was very helpfully, very nice trendy hotel! The room was a bit small but comfortable and very clean! We went downstairs to the Indian restaurant the food was delicious! Cocktail bar was way... More

We (my wife and myself) stayed at the Lorne Hotel Glasgow on 20th September, as it was close to the Glasgow Hydro and we couldn't get a room in the hotels closest to the Hydro. We had problems with the booking in that we booked through "booking.com" in may 2014 who advised that the payment would be due during our... More
