Very pleasant and comfortable hotel in the calm and pleasant surroundings of Glasgow's West End. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Alan,Concierge, gave us great advice on places to see and eat in in the locality. Our room was quite comfoertable if a bit on the small side, but clean and pleasant decor. Cooked breakfast, wide choice of items .Short... More

Stayed for three days, visiting Glasgow mainly for an event at the Hydro, so location was the most important factor. It was easy 15-20 minute walk to the Hydro, 15 mins walk to the city centre, and Kelvingrove Park was virtually on the doorstep. Lots of choice of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The room (Number 10, I think)... More

After reading many great reviews decided to book this hotel as part of a surprise evening for my partner. As we were using it mainly as a room to allow us to have a night in Glasgow we didn't get to use all aspects of the Acorn Hotel but we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to... Good location with several places to eat and drink nearby. Located at the top of the street and you should turn left at the junction where Mr Singhs indian is. Very clean and tidy rooms as well as tidy hotel. Breakfast made fresh as you need and of a good standard. Looking for a easy choice this is it.

I had a lovely four days. The rooms are confortable and tastefully furnished. The bathroom is also very modern and clean. David and Alan were extremely helpful , organisedour daily taxis sometimes three times per day and answering all our questions. They even printed my boarding pass and even arrange a taxi for my 4:30 a.m. Airport drop off.

We booked this hotel for a single night, for two single rooms on a room only basis. I don't usually like booking a hotel that doesn't have a car park, but when I telephoned ahead I was reassured that there were plenty of parking spaces on the street outside. The hotel was very close to the motorway so access was... More

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and it has always been a great visit. The multitasking of the small team of staff is very impressive, especially at breakfast time. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Rooms are comfortable and it is well located for the West End of Glasgow and also not too far to walk into... More

Quiet area. Great location for walking and shopping. A nice walk into the city or there are bus stops nearby. The manager was very helpful and very friendly everything from booking a taxi to making our breakfast.

This is a hotel with an identity crisis. Traditional look from outside, trying to be boutique inside but the finish is just short of succeeding in this. Slightly scrappy fittings in the bathroom and the curtain in the bedroom was loose on the end which let light into the room. Nothing major but it just added to the feeling that... More

We stayed here on our first night of a 9 day trip to Scotland. Pretty easy to find and in a great location, within walking distance to the University of Glasgow and all of the restaurants and pubs that are in that area. Parking was free as we stayed on the weekend, nice bonus! The room was nice and modern,... More
