There was demolition work going on in the neighbourhood and that was explained and so not unexpected. It is, however, somewhat uncomfortably close to Sauchiehall Street and so the effluent from the bars and theatres can sometimes be quite disruptive outside the hotel if you are trying to get a good night's sleep. The single room with king I had... More

This hotel is of Perfect location for the city. We were told that our room was classed as a small room, however for the two of us there was plenty of room and wouldn't class it as been too small for a couple (we were in room 101) the bed was comfortable, the ensuite bathroom looked lovely, was clean and... Enjoyed our stay here. Room was a little dated and rather dusty. This is easily rectified. Having said this it was acceptable. Interesting building. Breakfast ok but dining area is lacking in character. Good weekend deal. Car parking is close by and reasonably priced thanks to the hotel deal. A good base for exploring the city.

Positive stay - room was very warm and as we were on street level it didn't get much air. Couldn't turn off towel rail as it pumped out heat. Pillows were hard but room was nice otherwise. Staff polite and friendly Wifi sucks apart from in lounge. Great location and breakfast great Special mention to our new friend Nico on... More

location is good BUT there was dust on the tea cups, on everything, basically, stains on the ceiling and I felt all the springs in the bed (they are squared if anybody is interested....) The bed is 140cm wide, which is tiny, even for me. The people at the reception weren't helpful. ex.: didn't have a map.... Please avoid for... More

Good location, great price, very friendly & helpful staff, what more can I say but we will be back. The room was smallish but had all we needed. Bed extremely comfy, very clean & fab fluffy towels. Again well done to the exceptionally friendly & helpful reception staff, nice to see their smiling faces.

The room was really small but suited us during our short stay here. We were able to park the car in street during the evening and one day in the car park nearby for which the hotel provides a discount. From the hotel we walked to all the sites in the city and there a lot of restaurants nearby to... More

We chose this hotel as walking distance to The Hydro, on arrival it was clear that there is a lot of construction going on to the side and behind the hotel, at check in the receptionist couldn't have been less helpful - went through the mechanics of checking us in but didn't engage in conversation at all as she was... The hotel is very conveniently located close to Charing Cross station. It's only a 10--12 minute, most interesting walk into the George Square and the centre, but the station means you can pretty much go anywhere in the Glasgow area very easily. We dealt with four different receptionists during our visit. All were welcoming, friendly and went out of their... More
