Stayed here over 8 weeks over October/November . I have stayed in many guest houses and this is by far the best . Ray and Sue are surely the hardest working guest house owners . Nothing was too much trouble . Rooms are well equipped , breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice for even the fussiest diner .Very clean... More

My son and I stayed here overnight before he moved into University Halls. The B&B is in a very central location and has a free public car park right outside - great for a car laden with student paraphernalia. Note - the entrance to Murray Place looks as if it's through the car park and Murray Park is one-way. The... More

The Charlesworth Guest House is a great base for a break in St. Andrews. It is very central and within walking distance of all the sights-most notably the famous golf course! There is also a public car park right beside the guest house, which is great if you have a car. Our room was not big, but adequate and spotlessly... More

We stayed at Charlesworth House for a couple of nights and thought it was lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the B&B itself is well-located for the golf course and for the Fife coastal path routes. Perhaps most importantly for a B&B, the breakfast options are excellent and the portions generous - perfect for a long day discovering... More

Our son graduated from St Andrews and we wanted to be within walking distance of everything. We like Murray Place area so this was great. Sue & Rae are the best. Their B&B is full of warmth and hospitality. They too helped us so much going above and beyond. Thank you so much! We had a great graduation and made... More

We've just returned from a night at Charlesworth House, on a break with my siblings planned to celebrate my mother's birthday, but I had just lost my granddaughter to SIDS. We found Sue exceptionally kind, sensitive and accommodating. She went out of her way to make our stay as memorable and stress-free as possible. The breakfast was outstanding. The fresh... More

This is a very cute little place, just a stone's throw away from the Old Course and not too far from all the main sights in St.Andrews. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are on the small size but really cozy and comfortable. I only stayed in Charlesworth House for one night but I loved it. Following... More

This accommodation was pre-booked for me (by my travel agent) and they could not have done better. I was making my way up the coast on the Fife Coastal Path and St Andrews was the end of the fourth and very strenuous walking day. I arrived exhausted, but the very warm welcome I had from Sue was exactly what I... More
