I was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer but wanted to play golf at the home of golf st Andrews so we contacted Trevor & Jacqui and they were nothing but helpful, they assisted with information to book the golf and even arranged a buggy for me, and when we arrived on 1st april 2014 they welcomed us with open arms,... Stayed here for a couple of nights in early march 2014. A really lovely place - I am sometimes dubious about B&Bs having experienced some which were a bit too up close and personal with owners. Not here - a nice balance between having your own space and feeling very at home. The room was great and the wi-fi was... More

When travelling, our family had always stayed in hotels. However, I have always wanted to try out a B& B. I had heard friends talk about the friendly owners, the incredible food and the home away from home accommodations. This summer, I talked my husband into staying at a B&B for our stay in St. Andrew's. We chose Brownlee's based... More

I would recommend this B&B very highly - excellent location, warm and clean rooms with friendly, helpful owners. There was lots of choice of breakfast and ours was freshly cooked and delicious. The house is very central and there is a small car park outside. The owners couldn't have been more kind and helpful.

Brownlees Guest House is ideally situated in St Andrews, close to the golf courses, shops, restaurants and the University. There is free parking on the street outside and a small car park for approximately 20 cars a few yards away which is also free. The room we had was very clean, the bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom... More

Exactly what a guest house should be: warm, friendly, immaculately clean and everything done to the highest standards. Trevor and Jacqui even made me a packed lunch to eat on my way home, the day that I left. Amazingly convenient location too. Overall, superb!

stayed for just one night while working in area and I cannot fault the place, the room was comfortable, and the owner couldn't be more helpful, and the breakfast was spot on with lots of choice and plenty of it. would I stay again? without a moments hesitation.

Great place to stay: a warm welcome from the owners, the best breakfast for a long time (especially the locally sourced bacon, and excellent coffee), and a wonderful grey cat too. Recommend very highly.

Stayed with my daughter for a few days in early September, before orientation (Freshers' week) and her move into residence hall at the university. It was a perfect match for us. The guest house is very nice and in perfect location. Our room was cosy and very comfortable. Loved the little whiskey decanter! The owners, Trevor and Jacqueline, were extremely... More
