We visited here whilst visiting our daughter at university. We were looking for a family room where we could be together and fitted the bill perfectly. Family room 106 enormous with two bathrooms! Welcome lovely, room clean with bid widescreen TV times two. Actually 3 showers between the 2 bathrooms. Very clean. Breakfast fantastic with chef personally taking our order.... More

IMHO this is a good Hotel to stay for a short visit. Its location is outstanding as it is within 15 mins walking distance within the central St Andrews and its att. My only 2 minor complaint is there are squeaky floorboards throughout the building and the air-con was not the quietest - so - light sleepers beware! Another tip... More

Very friendly staff and so helpful and knowledgeable. Good food will arrange breakfast if you are teeing off early. Rooms are bigger than most European rooms, nice big fluffy towels that you'll want to wrap up in. Street noise can be heard in the room but its not all that bad. Town is small enough that you can take a stroll... More

Stayed here for one night in July for a girly overnight. The room we stayed in was massive and had x4 single beds and x2 toilets. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all fantastic especially the bar men who had stocked up the champagne for us. Breakfast was really good and overall value... More

Great location just a short walk fromvthe links and very friendly staff in the reception as well as the restaurant/bar. Service is great and nothing is impossible. Ifvyou have an early tee off breakfast is arranged anyway, no problems. Rooms OK and price worthy but if you are looking for a fancy and top hotel you should look for another... More

I just returned from St. Andrews and stayed at the Greyfriars for the second time and the hospitality was just as excellent as it was last year. Jinty, the day manager, was efficient, and provided very helpful service for all our needs. Steve, the chef, once again provided us with outstanding faire and was a great representative for the hotel.... More

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding nearby. Staff were very helpful in allowing us to check in early in order to get ready without rushing. Room was ok with everything you need. Bathroom was small but had a pretty good shower. The restaurant was ok with the breakfast being everything you need to recover after a Scottish wedding!! Very good... More

An amazing little hotel in a central locations, rooms were very comfortable and the staff were friendly and very approachable, there was not one negative I could possibly think of about this place, I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St Andrews or The Kingdom of Fife.

I was pleasantly surprised with how kind and helpful the staff were. From the chef/ night manager, to the front desk staff they were organized, caring and genuinely interested in making sure we were comfy. Don't go out the wrong door though or you will get yelled at!

The people here are great. We had a fantastic stay for 6 days. Walk to the old course and castle or just about anywhere in st andrews. The bar was great for watching world cup or just hanging out while waiting for friends. Made for an easy trip. Would stay here again for sure.
