I recently spent 2 days at Greyfriars Hotel, St Andrews with my husband. It is in an ideal location, which was great for us to catch a bit of time with our son who is at Uni there. I can't praise this hotel enough really. Our room was spotless and more than adequate with a great bathroom (these can often, in... more

I stayed at the Greyfriars Hotel for one night in August 2009. It is a nice, clean and modern hotel in the heart of St. Andrews. The sea is just in walking distance as well as many stores and cafes. The staff is very friendly and breakfast was very good. You can choose from a menu list. I also tried... more

We stayed here recently and really enjoyed it. We had a lovely big room with a lounge - the bathroom could do with a bit of tlc but it was adequate. The staff were very pleasant - all young and polite. The breakfasts were wonderful - the smoked salmon and the haddock were delicious. We had dinner at the hotel... more

Spent two nights at the Greyfriars in July 09. We had a superior double room which was enormous. So much so that the bathroom, which was equipped with shower, loo and wash hand basin (no bath) could have been made a bit bigger by using some of the bedroom floor space. Whilst the bathroom was adequate there was only room... more

Stayed for a few days in early July. Booked the family room Two single beds and a double. Large bathroom with seperate shower. More than enough for the two of us. Excelent value at £90.00 per night bed and breakfast. Only downside - depending on your point of view - was that the hotel is situated above a pub -... more

Some friends and I recently spent 4 nights at the Greyfrars Hotel in St. Andrews. It was selected by our tour group. It turned out to be an outstanding hotel. From the moment we were greeted at check-in through the time we checked out we were treated like royalty. Jinty is a tremendous host and attended to all our needs.... more

My husband and I visited this hotel last week. We only stayed for one night and booked on-line. On arrival (we were early) the staff made us very welcome. Our room was really comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything you would need. Great bar, again spotlessly clean and great service. Staff couldn't do enough to help. We had lunch and... more

We were 4 guys on a golf break and we stayed here on 14th and 15th April 2009. Excellent position only 5 minutes walk ( with gear ) from the old course first tee, perfect for us. Food and drink were reasonable and all the staff were friendly and efficient, our rooms were large, comfortable and very clean including the... more

We spent a night in Greyfriars hotel in St Andrews. We hadn't booked ahead, so just walked in at about 5pm and hoped they had a room for us. The rooms were above a pub, and our's was comfortable enough, suiting our needs for a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. There was a selection of breakfast options served, and again,... more
