I spent a memorable week in St. Andrews visiting my daughter at the university. My experience was a delight, the people and city are lovely. My experience was greatly successful due to the outstanding proprietors of Castlemount. They assisted me before leaving the United States with tips and transportation arrangements. Castlemount is a desirable location, walking distance to everything and... more

From the moment we checked in we were made to feel at home. As it was my partners birthday the daughter of the owner (sorry I don't remember your name) gave us a bottle of wine - how special! Our room directly overlooked the ruins and was very comfortable. Breakfast was decent, freshly cooked with a friendly service. This place... more

You've read all the previous accolades by others, and every word is true. The room was wonderful, clean, spacious and an incredible view overlooking the castle and the water. Breakfast fit for a King.. and Queen! Cleanliness was top notch, bathrooms were stocked with every possible need, you are given a key to come and go as you please. Linda... more

We had a very pleasant stay, even though it was just our last night before we left (we’d have to move from another very good B&B due to unavailability). We stayed in the ‘Masters Room’, which was a good size, well presented, with a very comfortable 4-poster bed, Digital TV (albeit one of the bed poster’s gets in the way),... more

A real find this one. Only a short (2 min) walk from the centre, the hotel overlooks the Castle and the sea. The owners are welcoming and the rooms very comfortable and well furnished. The views from the 2nd floor breakfast room are astounding and the owners have helpfully provided binoculars as well as breakfast! more

We had an idyllic time in St. Andrews and our stay at Castlemount only made it better. This is a great B&B, directly in front of the Castle and an easy walk to the Cathedral, the university and restaurants. The walk to the Old Course is longer but definitely a great stroll if you have leisure time. Our hostess was... more

We were 6 guys walking the Coastal Path, and had the pleasure of staying at the Castlemount for 2 nights. The location was superb opposite the Caste ruins. The rooms were all superb, and Breakfast was faultless. The host and hostess were lovely people who made us feel like friends rather than paying guests We will definetly be back more

I didn't made a reservation, I stopped and I was just lucky to get the last room free. The location is unique: infront of it there is the old Castle of the famous golf town and the sea. The room was clean, victorian furniture, warm, with a private bathroom. The brekfast was excellent, more than wat I get in the... more
