Stayed at Hazelbank B&B with my friend for 2 nights. The location was fantasic (facing the old course) The room was beautiful, large, and we had a brilliant sea view. Found the Hotel to be in a great location, as we could walk every where for eats and drinks. The staff members were fantasic, friendly and very helpful,Breakfast was excellent, and you could... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. The location was great (facing the Old Course). The room I got was a bit smaller than I expected but nicely decorated. It was so quiet that I was able to sleep deeply every day. The staff members were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was ok - I was expecting a wee bit more... More

I chose this B&B for a small group of golfers - ideal for accessing the Old Course and arriving early for that last minute attempt to get on the Old Course! Parking wasn't too much of a trouble on The Scores. Breakfast was excellent and the staff really helpful. Rooms were serviced everyday which is great for a B&B ....... More

Hazelbank provides very poor value at about £60 compared to £40+ per person in nearby B&Bs in St Andrews. The rooms design and furnishing were very dull and lights dim, and the overall decor doesn't provide a welcoming feel at all. The beds were also not comfortable with creaky spring mattresses, and the whole place has not been refreshed for... More

Beautiful bed-and-breakfast with nicely decorated, comfortable rooms. The location is ideal. It's a quick walk to pretty much anywhere you could want to go-- the little shops in the town, the cathedral, the golf course. The breakfast was really good with eggs/bacon/sausage/toast made-to-order. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner was aware of our needs and knew us... More

You cannot pick a better location in St Andrews. Overlooking the North Sea and 1 block from the Old Course Club House. Everyone at the hotel was helpful, nice and could not be more willing to provide anything you request. If you want a nice, small, service oriented B&B type hotel, this is the place for you.

We (7 old friends on a boys trip) stayed at the Hazelbank for four nights. The location is perfect, right at the Old Course and only a few steps into the heart of St Andrews. The rooms were comfortable and what you'd expect from a small Scottish Hotel... with some great views of the ocean. What we were most impressed... More

I had severe travel issues getting to Scotland (2 days of flight delays plus no baggage for 3 extra days - terrible!). BUT Michael & Marian and the staff at the Hazelbank were terrific. They bent over backwards to help us cope with lost luggage, phone chargers, toiletries, etc. and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfasts... More

We stayed two nights recently. Very hot and stuffy room overlooking the alley. Price was very high for value received. It should only be classified as a B&B and not a Hotel. Breakfast is only for one hour 8-9. Stay next door at the Russell Hotel is my recommendation for less money

Had a change in travel plans and was able to book this last minute. Pros: Friendly staff, decent breakfast. View from the window of the water was best part of room. Cons: The room was a little shabby, and bed not that comfortable. No air conditioning, so flies came in with the windows open. Also heard the late partying crowd... More
