My partner and I had a wonderful stay. Mick was fantastically helpful and the whole stay from beginning to end was comfortable and friendly. Would definately go back again! All the rooms were nice and the breakfast was wonderfu;l

What a gem! Three of us stayed for 5 nights as part of a once-in-a-lifetime trip to play golf at St Andrews. The accommodation is of a very high standard. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the welcome and help provided by Chris and Mick during our stay was excellent, including booking tee times, restaurants, taxis, etc for us. Great breakfast... More

Chris & Michael were the perfect hosts for our group. They accommodated all of our needs, and anticipated our wants before we expressed them. The rooms were updated and super clean. The property is close (walking distance) to everything and especially the "Old Course". Highly recommend this property!

Returned for the 10th year and again not disappointed. Our visit as always starts with very warm welcome. The rooms were perfect and immaculately maintained every day. There is a good range of options for breakfast, which includes toast and beverages - very tasty! We also had assistance in booking golf on our day away from the "links" and it... More

We arrived late and were given a warm and friendly greeting by Mick and Chris and shown to our lovely room which was very spacious and nicely furnished. You are perfectly placed to walk into the Town Centre or amble onto the Golf Courses. The Breakfast was great, anything you wanted, cooked to order as well as a variety of... More

I can honestly say this is one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean, close to all amenities and a lovely couple running the place (Mick and Chris). The bathroom was excellent, and no expense spared on the little touches, especially the hand-wash!! The breakfast was to die for, a great selection on the menu... More

This guest house is worthy of its four stars. We had a lovely room albeit at the top of the house! But you need the exercise to help you eat the great breakfasts every day. The room and ensuite are spacious, very tastefully decorated and furnished. The guest house is in a great location in St Andrews. Owners were friendly... More

Sorry for the late review. Having stayed at Lorimer Guest House during October 2013 this immaculate accommodation was a great find with the owners Christine & Mick ever so helpful to my wife and I. We were not golfing but the knowledge of restaurants and places to visit was second to none and even give us discount cards for meals... More

Bit late writing this review, but Mick and Chris deserve all the recognition they can get. 5 of us travelled to play some golf in April and we couldn't have asked from any more. Obviously they are set up for golfers, and have all you might need on hand - especially the drying facility!! The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast... More

Lorimer Guest House was the perfect accommodation for our golf trip to St Andrews. Michael and Christine were the perfect hosts making our stay at The Home of Golf all that we had hoped for. The location is great with everything within walking distance. The rooms are warm, modern and immaculately kept making them feel very homely. The breakfast choice,... More
