We traveled to Scotland in October 2006 and one of our stops was to golf in St. Andrews. We chose Glenderran based on some local knowledge that the place is great and the breakfast even better. Our hosts, Ray and Maggie, greeted us at the door and showed us to our rooms. Our room was quite comfy and overlooked the... More

The weather was as grey as I expected it in mid-December and the conference which brought me to St. Andrews at this time of the year also had its flaws, but Glenderran proved to be the perfect choice. The room was small (as signalized when I booked, and also inexpensive), but furnished with everything necessary and a very comfortable bed;... More

We stayed at the Glenderran guesthouse for three nights in December 2011. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Ray and his wife. The house smelled lovely of flowers. The room with two twin beds was just lovely. Much attention was paid to details. The color theme is brown and gold, emphasizing the warm atmosphere of the room. The beds... More

Everything about the Glenderran was perfect - the booking was done through email and the responses were very quick and detailed. All aspects of my visit were great! The room and bathroom were super and the wifi and tv were very nice touches. Thanks Ray and Maggie for a great stay! More

I booked for myself and my fiancée to stay at Glenderran in October 2011, for a long weekend in St. Andrews, both of us having graduated from the university in 2008. My reason for selecting Glenderran from the vast number of B&Bs in St. Andrews was, initially, purely based on the price of the room that they were able to... More

Last week, my husband and I enjoyed a very delightful stay at Glenderran House in St. Andrews. Our hosts, Maggie & Ray, welcomed us warmly, the guestroom was really cosy and clean and, last but not least, the Scottish breakfast was delicious! We would come back to Glenderran B&B anytime and strongly recommend a stay there. Thanks a lot for... More

The Glenderran guest house is certainly not the place to stay if you are intending on having some fun with the guys on a golf vacation in St Andrews. The main host Ray was abrupt and not at all understanding of four guys on holiday. Our entire stay at the bed and breakfast felt like we were at our parents... More

Once again we find ourselves having to defend our actions against a group of 4 male guests who come into your home and show absolutely no respect for our home. In the end we were left with little option but to ask them to leave. Also typical and equally unsurprising, is that much of the detail is missing from this... More

A five night stay confirmed why Maggie & Ray Pead's Glenderran Guest House is top rated. My spotless small en-suite single room was more than adequate for my needs in this beautifully converted former merchant's town house, which is centrally located and very quiet. (The maximum occupancy is something like 8 people). At my request, Ray showed me the remaining... More

Glenderran is a wonderful place to stay in St. Andrews. Maggie & Ray are just wonderful. And the house is great. The room was great, the food was great and the golf was great. I actually stayed here in 2007, but when a friend asked my recommendation last week for a place to stay in St. Andrews, Glenderran immediately came... More

Our stay at Glenderran was great; Maggie and Ray made us feel welcome from the time we arrived until our departure. The rooms were bright and clean and it was in easy walking distance to the golf courses, pubs and restaurants. Their hospitality was second to none and I would recommend Glenderran to anyone. More
