We had a great set dinner in grad week for 7. They do offer a la carte as well. Service was good & we got out own private section. It was very quiet. Everyone loved their food. A great place for a quieter grad week dinner with upscale dining. If you are very lucky you can park in front of... More

If you are a party animal this hotel is perfect. There is an independent late night DJ bar in the basement. It vibrates its beats, and echoes its cheers and jeers throughout the hotel until the early hours. If you like a hotel to sleep in, however, this one doesn't fit the bill. The staff were friendly and efficient. The... More

I moved on to St Andrews after Endinburgh. I found this gem after walking up the The Scores and checking out what was available at short notice. What was available was excellent in every sense, the customer service is second to none, our suite was as expected beautifully appointed and with a private access to the street. When I am... More

This was my first visit to the du vin in St Andrews the same group who own Devonshire gardens and Malmaison , I wasn't disappointed with high standard I exspect from these establishments , today showed the standard is par for the course as the ambiance and the food was plentiful and amazing , £22 per head for Father's Day... We received a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. Our meal of a shared Chateaubriand was superb .The fact that we both liked steak cooked a little differently was not a problem. The waitress was lovely and very attentive.Afterwards we requested a taxi back to our hotel and this arrived in minutes.A lovely evening.Brilliant considering the 5 star hotel we were staying... Firstly to be told we had no reservation even though we had an email confirmation was not a good start as he scrambled onto the pc to look at his emails. Someone intervened and said "we will squeeze you in." Charming, this isn't a fast food restaurant its a 4 star high end establishment. We had the 3 course lunch... More

This place could not be more convenient for golf in and around St. Andrews. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was large by Scottish standards. The staff was very attentive and the breakfast (included) was excellent with many choices. Small bar area but very workable. Bar staff was great. Did not have any other meals here, so no comments... I stayed here for a golf vacation with three of my friends. We shared 2 rooms, both of which were nice but very small. The bar area is beautiful and the pub adjacent is worth a visit. The restaurant staff however, couldn't get much right. Forgetting orders, super delays for small condiments and repetitive questions really started to get under... More

It is rated as 4* so I expected the same, it is expensive. On arrival we were presented with a disabled room. No objections to the availability of this, but when i asked to be moved to a different room (we are not disabled, and the bathroom was not that pleasant) I was told the hotel was full and everyone... Hotel is perfect for a golf vacation. Myself and 3 golf buddies shared 2 rooms-one superior sea view room and the other a junior sea view suite. Both were adequately sized to handle 2 golfers with luggage for an extended golf vacation. Beds were fantastic. Location is within an 8 iron of the first tee of the Old Course. The... More
