Stayed here for 4 nights whilst golfing. Great location only a 5 iron from the old course 1st tee. You can walk to the old, new and jubilee courses very easily. The shuttle bus for the eden club house comes right past the door. Romms we had were clean and tidy and the breakfast great to start the day. Free... More

My husband and I stayed in the family room for 3 nights while visiting our daughter in her semester abroad at St. Andrews. The Bell Craig is a perfect location! Hazel was a wonderful hostess! She gave us a map highlighting where we could find free on-street parking. We parked the car and left it there. Everything we wanted to... More

We recently rented 5 of the 6 rooms at the Bell Craig. This B & B is a nice little guest house perfectly located 5 minutes walk from the Old Course and 5 minutes walk into town. The rooms are not standard-- it is an old house with rooms of varying sizes and benefits. I had the larger room number... More

My parents and I stayed at the Bell Craig for three nights in the family room - one full and one single bed with ensuite bathroom. The room was small but clean and well-equipped (hair dryer, flat screen TV, hot water kettle). The house is about a five minute walk to the Old Course, St. Andrews Castle and city center,... More

We stayed one night in the twin room which was adequate but long and narrow; in fairness the other two bedrooms (family and double) we saw looked roomier and were well decorated. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful and could not have been more pleasant. Main gripe was breakfast: continental amounted to plastic- wrapped cheddar and a couple of... More

I must say I was very disappointed to read this review I have spoken to my staff about this Continental breakfast consists of 4 cereals fruit juice , yogurts, fresh fruit and cheeses which is available to all guests while they wait for there cooked breakfast. Where you got only plastic cheese and two yogurts from I don't know. Our... More

Beautiful place St. Andrews. Guest house was hard to find, due to one way streets etc, and then parking was an issue as the free spaces around the guest house were taken. However we arrived at the guest house and were welcomed with delight from the host Hazel. She showed us our room and we liked it. It was small... More

The room was warm, our door did NOT have a door knob on it so it was difficult to pull closed. The room has so much furniture in it there was no room to move. Even the sink was at the end of a bed. Bathroom had toilet, tiny shower, and sliding door. As soon as I entered I hit... More

On 27 May we had two rooms and have only compliments. For a guest house, the rooms are not small/not large. The breakfast was good, with an emphasis on cooked menu items rather than a large selection of cold items. Fresh fruit was ample! All in all everything was positive about the guest house. There is one consideration that is... More

Bell Craig Guest House is in a centrally located building from the nineteenth century. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bathroom is clean, although not very large. Hazel, the owner of the guest house, is a very kind person, ready to provide the necessary information. I especially liked the Scottish breakfast (including the black pudding). The only drawback... After a bad experience at the Ardgowan Hotel we were so happy to find this little gem. We were made very welcome and the accommodation was excellent. Our room was very tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and very spacious. The en suite facilities were also excellent. Breakfast was cooked to order with a choice from the menu. We would highly recommend staying... More
