Stan and Mary were amazing hosts during my 4 night stay. I was traveling with me elderly father and they accomodated him as if he were family. The DVD collection is impressive and the extras in the room are better than any other place I stayed. I recommend this Guest House completely. more

My partner and I had a fantastic three night stay at the Aslar house while I visited the University. The owners were incredibly friendly, and made us feel like it was a pleasure to have us there. The room was beautiful, with a couch to relax on, a flat screen TV with a DVD player and a selection of DVDs... more

My fiancee and me stayed at Aslar House on the last night of our Scotland trip. Our room was great, and so were the hosts. The weather was bad, but the stay at this b&b definitely made it seem like a minor glitch. This is definitely a place I would stay at again. more

I recently spent the weekend at the Aslar House - it was my first trip away since having a baby so I was looking for a bit of luxury and some peace and quiet. I know St Andrews well and had stayed at Aslar Guest House before so knew it was nice. However the new owners have worked magic on... more

I stayed for 6 nights, as a solo golfer. Stan and Mary were very accommodating, I would leave very early each day to play the Old Course, each morning, my clubs would be waiting for me in the front hall. Since it was very early, I did not have the sit down breakfast each day, but each night Stan would... more

When you are staying in such a charming and quaint town as St Andrews, it's only natural to want to stay in accomodations that reflect that vibe. Aslar house, along with Stan and Mary add to the experience of St Andrews. They run a Bed and Breakfast with all of the conveniences of a nice hotel ,and the warmth and... more

I think that the other reviews say it all about the Aslar Guest House and and the hosts. It was a first class experience and we were so happy with our stay. It was the 3rd night of our 14 night vacation and it was just the perfect beginning part of our trip. It was tough to top that experience.... more

We first stayed at Aslar Guest House on a trip in March to visit our son during his Study Abroad experience at the University of St. Andrews. The home is beautiful, the location is great, but it is the owners, Stan and Mary Hastie, who are the heart and soul of this place, and make Aslar Guest House the great... more

My husband and I stayed at the Aslar Guest House and we really did experience perfection from start to finish. As soon as I put in my reservation I was contacted by phone by Stan, the owner, and we shared some information. He was really warm and kind and left such a good impression that I was even more anxious... more
