My extended family took over this lovely place for one night for my Gran's birthday, there was 12 of us along with a German couple staying there, I found the owners to be extremely welcoming and friendly even though we probably weren't the quietest of guests, they were good for a bit of a chat and had no problems arranging... more

Wonderful venue for a family gathering of 3 generations. Tasteful and imaginative home comforts; relaxed and hospitable ambience; lovely setting only a few minutes taxi ride from St Andrews. Owners, Colin and wife, could not have been more helpful. Great breakfast - free range farm eggs! 2/3 May 2009 JC more

My husband and I have stayed at the Old Station a few times now and each stay has been as enjoyable as the last. The themed rooms are all beautifully decorated, we have stayed in the African room and the Tartan room and one day hope to stay in one of the Carraige suites. The bathrooms were especially nice with... more

We just had a week-end of golf arranged by the owners, where nothing was too much trouble, booking tables at local restaurants, golf tee times with local knowledge etc..., this is classed as a B&B / Guest house, I was recommended by a friend whom spoke of his wife loving the open log fires, power showers to the Molton Brown... more

By nature I'm a fussy person. I've never stayed in a hotel where I haven't changed rooms (sometimes more than once). We arrived at the Old Station on a cold sunny day and were pleasantly surprised. The setting for this B&B is charming as where the hosts Colin And Fiona They helped us inside with our luggage and offered us... more

We have just spent a wonderful weekend in The Old Station, St. Andrews. Our accommodation was one of the converted railway carriages and it was just so good, It was so tastefully furnished with lots of thoughtful little touches like fresh flowers, wine and toiletries. I thought that it might be a little cold at this time of the year... more

This was our annual visit to St Andrews and the second visit to the Old Station. You would maybe think a second visit would not be as good as the first and end up disappointed. Not so on both counts! On this occaision we had the whole carriage and one room in the house. The carriage allowed us the freedom... more

With all the very positive write ups I had read my partner and I arrived in anticipation. We had booked one of the railway carriages. Firstly notice the car park empty and we were right in assuming we were the only guests. The carriage we were shown to was appallingly neglected as we felt were the ground s eg the... more

Touring Scotland from Canada I came across this unique Guest House, situated in beautiful grounds. I was given a very hospitable welcome by the owners, Fiona and Colin. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of their converted railway carriages, which had everything you could imagine. The breakfast was a typical Scottish feast served in a bright breakfast room.... more
