We are frequent visitors to St Andrews and have stayed at Spinkstown Farmhouse many times always with complete satisfaction. We returned this June after a gap and it was well up to standard: spacious room which was very well equipped, nice bathroom with lots of toiletries and comfortable bed. What really sets Spinkstown apart is the quality of the breakfast... More

We first stayed at Spinkstown Farmhouse, St Andrews , over 15 years ago and have returned many times. We have just returned after a gap of 3 years and have found the same high quality: spacious, very well equipped rooms, comfortable beds, a warm welcome and an outstanding breakfast: fresh fruits, cereals, porridge And a cooked to order breakfast which... Having just come back from a wedding in St Andrews I wanted to write and say how lovely this B&B was. Anne, the host, is very friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in, with an ensuite, was a great size, clean and tidy, lots of storage and very comfortable. I must mention the breakfast - absolutely lovely. So much... More

Lovely b&b. I had a huge room with a gorgeous view. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. A great choice of both hot and cold food. Only 2 criticisms: 1 I don't like having to choose breakfast the night before. I far prefer to decide in the morning 2: I really didn't like the lack of... More

Just returned after 5 days in the family room with my wife and daughter. The room was a good size, with good facilities and pleasant view. The welcome, helpfulness and friendliness were great and the breakfast freshly prepared and tailored to each persons requirements. We would definitely stay here again if we plan to visit the area.

Words are quite inadequate to describe my latest stay at Spinkstown Farmhouse. The experience here is an exceptional one in every way. And, of course, the real bonus is that it lies just a couple of miles from St Andrews with its famous beaches, golf courses and university. The hostess, Anne Duncan, is welcoming, charming and a wonderful exponent of... More

The perfect place to stay right near St Andrews. Lovely farmhouse location with large spacious rooms and bathrooms. Very clean rooms and a very well maintained business. One of the very few B&Bs that I've stayed in that actually has a bath. Mrs Duncan was very warm and welcoming and made excellent breakfasts. The whole experience was just wonderful. I... More

We've stayed here a few times and it's always wonderful. Great hosts. Really nice breakfasts including home-made scones. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. A great place to stay. It's just a few minutes drive into St Andrews or a walk along the beautiful Fife Coastal Path.

After a busy week at the Edinburgh Fringe we had headed north with the intention of camping, but decided to treat ourselves to a comfortable night instead. In spite of our last-minute enquiry, Anne was able to prepare a lovely room for us and we enjoyed a very relaxing evening and wonderful night's sleep. The room was beautifully spacious and... More

My friend and I have just returned from a 5 day break at Spinkstown Farm House. This is by far and away the best B and B I have ever stayed at. Lovely big room overlooking the hills with 2 comfy easy chairs at the window to enjoy the peace and quiet and the view and the most wonderful breakfasts... More
