Great location overlooking the 1st and 18th fairways with views out to sea. Very friendly welcome from all staff, most accommodating in organising some quick lunch prior to a round of golf. Rooms were a good size and very well prepared, bathrooms were slightly small for two guys sharing ! lol We had a very early tee time on day... More

Nice traditional Scottish building overlooking the beach & golf course & lovely picturesque views from the champagne bar. Hotel is very obviously tailored for the American golf tourist. We were advise at check-in the gastro pub would be closed at 6pm for a private function - that's where we had actually planned to have our dinner & spend the evening... More

We have just returned from a one night stay and would certainly recommend it. It is in an ideal location, staff are very friendly and room was spotlessly clean and just what we wanted. Breakfast was lovely overlooking the 18th on the old course. We will certainly return.

The location of the hotel is excellent, adjacent to the 18th fairway of the Old Course. The rooms are pleasant but no more, the bathroom had a number of cracked floor tiles and the room was a little cramped. Breakfast was reasonable - service was a bit slow and the breakfast was not of good quality, it was okay -... More

My husband and I stayed here in Feb04 but we have stayed here many times and each time there has been something different to see and do. Our room overlooked the 18th.hole which we both enjoyed my husband more that me because he does play golf. There are plenty of eating places in St.Andrews all reasonable price we did have... More

A great hotel to stay in for exploring St Andrews. We have now stayed in this hotel twice and both times it has been enjoyable. We had a great room which seemed like it had been recently renovated and also with a view down the 1st/18th on the old course. The room was clean and spacious even with two sets... More

Dated hotel with very poor service, rooms have no baths, a must after a long day on the golf coarse. Restaurant is good all be it dreadfully slow and understaffed. Large televisions at reception showing spa and swimming pool lovely we were thinking only to be informed this is a sister hotel 2 hours away. Heading back to old coarse... More

Amazing. Nicest meal we have ever had in a perfect setting. Staff were extremely helpful. The atmosphere in the bar was so relaxing and looked out onto beautiful views. Total escape from pressures of everyday life. Simply perfect.

So enjoyable that we stayed an extra night. Dogs walk straight on to the 18fairway at the Old Course and then on to the Chariots of Fire huge beach. Hard to better for either a short stay or longer trip to Fife. St Andrews also enjoys excellent restaurants and pubs

Stayed recently.Booked in advance ,I then phoned to upgrade for a sea view as a surprise for my husband as we were celebrating our ruby wedding.Sea view ?No,view of car park we were given. So disappointed. To pay £120.00 extra was a waste.Never again will I upgrade, especially when you read that people get an upgrade for nothing and a sea view.
