My husband and I stayed overnight at Yorkston House while visiting family nearby. The owner Catriona has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay.We had a big comfy bed, ample supplies for tea and coffee, and a lovely modern bathroom with good quality toiletries. We didn't use the bathrobes,or need the hot water bottle that were provided! After an excellent night's sleep we... More

It is true!!! If Guest Houses are to be rated like Hotels, Yorkston should be classified as Five-Star. Very clean, excellent breakfast, nice room, good service. Exactly what we need to have a good stay. The management pays really good attention to all the details in the room and other facilities. We appreciated that the Guest House also accommodated our... I have never left a review of places I've stayed before but my recent to trip to St Andrews and the Yorkston Guest House in particular have left a lasting impression. Not only is the town one of a kind but the Yorkston is a real gem. The breakfast is varied and home cooked, the rooms clean and well equipped... More

I would strongly recommend the Yorkston Guest House! Catrina was very nice and welcoming but still lets her guests have their space. The location of the house is a little bit "outside of town" but I use that term loosely -- a 7 minute walk gets you to the middle of town. The house is very clean and offers many... More

Only a short walk away from the centre, it is a pretty good base. Room was very small and, I thought, overpriced for a single bed with bathroom down the hall. However, St Andrews accommodation isn't cheap and the room was quiet, clean, warm and comfortable. You'd be lucky to find a parking spot outside so there is a 100... More

I found the guest house relaxing, homely, friendly and comfortable. It was also fairly inexpensive. What's more I was upgraded to en-suite bathroom without extra charge. It's very handy for the centre of town without actually being in the centre of town.

I had the pleasure of staying for 10 days at Yorkston Guesthouse while my daughter was settling in at the University of St. Andrews. It was run by a pleasant family. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. My en-suite room was on the third floor with a great view of the gardens. The room was very comfortable and very clean.... More

This was a last minute booking for a family of four. Welcome great, room just as we needed for a family of four with bags of room and indeed a dressing room too. Shower room well appointed and towels as good as 'Old Course'. Breakfast great as you want and for the price good value for money. Wifi worked.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. She is gluten and dairy free. I emailed the Yorkston ahead of time and they had gluten free bread and non-dairy creamer specifically for her. Great breakfast - full Scottish. They were very accommodating about anything we asked and very friendly. Beautiful lounge and very colorful flowers everywhere. The B&B is... More

Stayed at the Yorkston for our daughter's graduation. Very comfortable rooms, large and light. Great en- suite facilities; soft towels and a great breakfast. On the second morning we had to leave very early so the owner organised sandwiches, juice and fruit in the fridge downstairs to take with us. Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you.
