In September we stayed for five nights at The Humble Rowan. Allyson was a very kind host and breakfast was really nice, sitting with the other guests at one big table, talking about your plans for the day. The town is a 15 minute walk, but the beach is close by, and since the house is located in a residential... More

We stayed two nights at the Humble Rowan and just loved it. The breakfast room with all the glass is so beautiful and the breakfast was terrific. Allyson is an extremely gracious host and went out of her way to help us get to Perth. The B&B is located in a lovely residential neighborhood that is very quiet. It is... More

I have stayed in several B&Bs in St Andrews, and the Humble Rowan is by far the best. In fact, it is quite possibly the best B&B I have stayed in in Scotland and offers excellent value for money. Allyson was a warm and welcoming host and we felt very at home here. The room was spotless, spacious, comfortable and... More

We have just had a 3 night break here, and have to say it was excellent. Less than a 5 minute drive or 15 min walk to the town centre, or 5 min walk to the nearest beach. The house was spotless, and Allysons breakfasts are a great way to start the day. Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I booked the Humble Rowan for 2 nights as we had a wedding to attend at the Old Course Hotel. Allyson was very accommodating and did not mind us turning up late at night - she gave us a key to the house/room and made us feel welcome to come and go as we pleased. The room... More

We spent a lovely night at The Humble Rowan whilst visiting friends in St Andrews. The Humble Rowan is an immaculately presented and spacious B&B only 15 minutes walk from St Andrew's town centre. Allyson's welcome was lovely and the breakfast AMAZING. This is one of the best, if not THE best, B&B we have stayed at in the UK.... More
