I stayed here for 5 days whilst on a study trip at the university. The reason I chose it was it looked beautiful from the website images, it was right in the town centre and it had wi-fi. From the moment I arrived Pat could not have been more welcoming and helpful. As I was the only guest she moved... More

We've stayed a Fairnie house for five nights to participate in an international conference. This is my first time to go abroad and I had a wonderful experience with this B&B. Though we are not good at English, but the pleasant owner, Pat made us feel friendly and enjoyable in the stay. She cooked delicious breakfast and kept the room... More

My wife and I booked for four nights at Fairnie house and had a lovely stay. Pat was most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She made us feel more like family members than customers and cooks the most delicious Scottish breakfast. The location is perfect; a short walk from the town centre with free on street parking right outside.... More

We've stayed a Fairnie house twice now and have booked again for a short stay in September. Pat the owner is an excellent host and keeps the B & B to an extremely high standard. The rooms are tasteful and immaculate with beds so comfortable it's hard getting out of them! Breakfasts are freshly made and delicious. Our son is... More

Thank you Pat for making our stay very pleasant. Pat made us feel that we were very important to her. Prior to our visit she gave us information on the train schedules, buses and a map on how to get to Fairnie House. Our room was comfortable and very clean. I loved the bathroom! The coffee and treat in our... More

Having read previous reviews of Fairnie House, we decided to book here to visit our granddaughter who is a student in St. Andrews university. We cannot speak highly enough of the accommodation . Everything spotlessly clean, with such a comfortable bed,( a must for us as we both have spinal problems). There are tea, coffee and hot chocolate , even... More

I booked a room for 4 nights for my mother when she came to visit me in St Andrews, and ended up staying with her at the B&B. We had a great time there. The location is great: in the city center, not far from the cathedral (probably the most beautiful historical site in town). The rooms are very clean... More

Can't recommend Fairnie House enough. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights while dropping our daughter off at the University. Fairnie house is literally 12-15 steps from South street and a few minutes walk to Market Street, St. Andrews Cathedral ruins, etc. Room was a twin room en suite with a delicious breakfast of bacon, sausage, tomato, fruit... in... Fairnie House is great: very clean, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. We rented 2 rooms and were very happy with both. (I am fussy about beds, and this one was as good as the one I have at home.) We were looking at St.Andrews University, and it was the perfect location. We plan to return and stay with Pat... More
