Found the staff in The Victoria Hotel very friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great, with a wide selection to choose from. Within walking distance of the train station. Will certainly return to this lovely Hotel

What a surprise to get to Kirkcaldy and find that we have booked a hotel placed in a historical building! Mackintosh - the most famous Scottish architect - lived there with his family before moving to Glasgow and the building still retains his original air. Kirkcaldy is not a great town, but from there you can get easily to the... More

This was a last-minute booking for one night and it was a welcome change from a Premier Inn or Travelodge. My room was right above the outlet fans for the kitchen, so it wasn't the best. But it was the last room they had on the night. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and if there's something else you needed... More

We had a break here whilst visiting driftland. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good too. The downside was the decor looked a bit dated and parts could do with sprucing up but otherwise faultless.

Stayed here with 3 other friends on a trip to Kirkcaldy for a football match. I was in a single room which had every thing you could wish for - en-suite shower, TV, refreshments/kettle, hairdryer, hangers, and drawers for storage, and dressing table with mirror for the ladies. Only minor quibbles I had in the room itself was the shower... More

A warm welcome and real concern if you have a problem (personal). Great breakfasts and good choice. I have taken High Tea and Supper there before and these are exceptional. Double room I had before was great. Single room I had this time was small and very basic but had all I needed. Needs a makeover but was clean.

Family lunch on the spur of the moment. We live in the town so know the venue. The food was excellent and good value. What made the visit even better was the attitude and professionalism of the staff. It seemed that nothing would be too much trouble. Both men were immaculately turned out and friendly. An example that other hotels... More

Stayed for 1 night on business. The bedroom was so hot with radiators full on that they had opened the window! After calling Reception radiators were turned off. I ordered room service dinner from the a la carte. This was the toughest and boniest sea bass fillets I've ever had. The oriental dressing was too vinegary and the vegetables apart from... More

Had a high tea here and I must admit it was second to none. The service was quick and efficient and very polite. The actual meal was very good and plenty of it,and if you asked to take a part of your meal home that you couldn't eat you could get a doggy bag.
