I attended a wedding here, and planning a wedding myself I am glad I did not go with this hotel myself. we were all crammed into a tiny little room that was no way big enough for the amount of guests. The buffet was shocking and no way what the bride had paid for the hot food was watered down... More

I had my wedding here at the beginning of april and didnt even get down the isle before the mistakes started. The sound system blew up just as my song started and I had to ask staff to let my husband know what was happening. Once sorted the ceremony went fine. After though we werent allowed into the reception hall... More

I attended a wedding here in early April, and I have to say the staff are the rudest I have ever come across. the rooms were shabby, toilets had a leaking radiator, water all over the floor, glasses never got cleared, the buffet was a joke, curry watered right down, when we tried to talk to the owner he looked... Stayed here last night for a leaving do. Our room looked lovely( honeymoon suite) but on closer inspection was very tired and dated. Plenty of lost space in the room, the tea service had no milk and the cups had hairs on them. You were ages in the shower waiting on hot water which did come eventually. Attending the function... My husband went to the Strathearn today at 5 p.m. We weren't staying but intended to have a high tea/meal. Having been there many times before (not for a while) we didn't foresee any difficulties. We went into the bar area and found 3 people sitting at the bar having a drink. Other than that the place was empty. We... More

Service terrible! Arrived just as dining room closed, although we were offered a beer but the taps were dry. Asked for a restaurant recommendation - the staff didn't know of one. The shower had mold. The room door didn't lock although it was fixed -sort of- after we pointed it out. We were promised yogurt for breakfast but it never... More

When we were booked into this hotel by a friend who had organised a visit to the area, we went onto Trip Advisor to read the reviews. Those we read did not exactly rate the Strathearn Hotel very highly. We thought it could not be as bad as they had reported. But it was only for two nights and the... More
