Despite organising for a wedding my friend and I had a great afternoon tea, lots of sandwiches and cakes to choose from. The food was fresh and at an affordable price. Friendly staff, who were attentive to us although they were busy. I will be back!

I arranged a night out for a group of friends at the Strathearn Hotel. The food was cold, the staff were disinterested in serving the customers and stood around chatting. The management were rude when we politely complained. I would strongly advise staying clear of this hotel who are now marketing themselves for weddings. You will be disappointed.

Stayed for 2 nights with Dinner included. I would say staff shortages were in evidence with 3 members runing the bar, taking orders, serving food, clearing the tables, manning the reception and chatting to guests! They managed very well without moaning which you hear from staff at many places! The room was adequate with a decent shower. All in all... More

When family members came to visit Scotland from Hampshire we took them here for high tea. The inexpensive menu included typical local fare and they gave us a really good plateful. Both children and adults loved the cakes and scones which were obviously home made. We highly recommend it and can't wait for a return visit.

My wife and I had heard the Strathearn was recently taken over and decided to pop in for high tea, with our 4 year old son. We didn't book, (although it would be advisable) and the staff were very accommodating in getting us a table. The food is traditional bar fayre, but it's made well and there was very little... More

We had a very happy and smooth running party for our son's 18th at the Strathearn on Saturday. Kirsty, the manager, was incredibly helpful, doing her utmost to accomodate us. The party itself went like a dream. The staff were great in dealing with the few inevitible minor issues that arise when you get teenagers together. Some of our friends... More

I stayed here the night before last en route on a cycle tour along the North Sea Coastal route. The staff were very friendly and helpful; especially the young woman on reception. They put my bicycle in a safe place. The breakfast was formidable, and everything else was fine. I recommend it.

The hotel is just a bit tired: there are unfilled holes in the room and bathroom where fixtures have been removed. The carpet was very stained (though probably clean) and everything was just a bit urgh. But, breakfast was really good and the staff were very very friendly and welcoming.
