Dunnikier Hotel has always had a reputation for being a bit posh, just for golfy types etc, so after moving to Dunnikier Estate last October, that's maybe why we'd put off going there until now. Please note that we have never stayed in the hotel but have used the restaurant and bar facilities on several occasions now. The bar is... More

stayed for one night to visit family. The room had a lovely view but I'm afraid the room itself was in need of some TLC. One of the lights above the bed wasn't working nor was the shaver strip light in the bathroom. When we returned to the hotel that evening the room was freezing. There was no heating in the room... I stayed for one night on business. The location is good and the building is in a very pleasant setting. The public rooms have a nice atmosphere and are well-maintained. The staff were all extremely welcoming and the service was excellent and this made up a great deal for the accommodation which could be charitably described as 'threadbare'. I had... More

We held a family function at the Dunnikier yesterday and were very impressed with the service of the staff who were very flexible and friendly and happy to help. The Garden Room is gorgeous and everyone enjoyed the buffet. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Stayed here for one night after my son's wedding reception even though it is just a few miles from home. My wife and myself have been lucky enough to stay in 5 star hotels in many countries this is not a 5 star hotel and doesn't pretend to be but would give some of them a run for their money.... More

We have been here a few times recently for coffee and lunch a few times. The menu gives a wide range of options to suit most pallets. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed and the staff are very welcoming. Of particular note is Carol-ann excellent and very professional customer service skills and a warm welcome, with a particular attention to... More

I'm writing this review from one of their rooms... Dated rooms , tv had no remote control. Freezing cold. The people in the room to the left and right kept banging into the early hours . Worst place iv ever stopped would of rather slept in my van if I had known.

Spent two weeks at the hotel in August while visiting family. This is our second 2 week stay here. Unfortunately Kirkcaldy does not offer much in the way of family hotel rooms so choice is extremely limited. As usual the staff were excellent and could not fault them. The Scottish breakfast was outstanding with a good variety. The bar food... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid August and my partner had to talk me out of checking-out after the first night. The place is very dirty and the carpets throughout need fetching up and putting in a skip. The décor needs re-vamping throughout also. Our room had very dodgy electrics with one plug socket being marked with ticka... More

We stayed at the Dunnikier House Hotel last weekend while we were in Kirkcaldy for a wedding, when we arrived in the car, I thought oh my god we are paying xx amount a night to stay in this place - honestly I was quite put off the back is nothing to rave about. It does not help that most... More
