We're actually off to The Golden Acorn on Friday for our 4th visit ( or maybe it's the fifth!). Each time we've taken advantage of the 2 for 1 offer, which means we get 2 nights for £35 plus about aother £14 for breakfast - where else could you get a spacious room for 2 nights, excellent bathroom/ shower hearty... more

just back from a two for one night break and could not fault it rooms were clean and tidy exterior windows need a tidy up/excellent shower never heard any noice concidering you were above pub all staff were helpfull cheap food/takeaways just across road/shopping centre round corner would go back more

Arrived in what on the map looks like the lovely town/village of Glenrothes. In fact it is a squalid place, with the area of activty from what we could tell, coming from the Golden Acorn wetherspoons and the takeaway opposite.
