Nothing wrong with the lodge itself. It's quite new and clean and the staff were probably the friendliest Travelodge staff i've encountered. No probs getting extra towels and pillows. Hardly any traffic noise. The location though is very industrial and a little depressing. The good news is that the helpful girl on the desk told us about the Brewers Fayre... more

We checked in at 1930hrs on Friday 28th August, we had booked a family room. On arrival in the room, we found that there was only a double bed and a sofa. I enquired at reception and we were handed a duvet and a sheet and told to make our own bed. We were also advised that as the place... more

I've stayed here a couple of times. The surrounding area has nothing except a petrol station, which at least does sandwiches an stuff. The lodge itself is OK. Fairly new, rooms were clean and comfortable and light and airy. Slept OK. A little road noise but not so much as to cause a problem. more

We stayed here for a wedding at nearby Balbirnie House. It was convenient and cheap but basic with uncomfortable bed. Reception staff not friendly but house maid could not have done more. Directly opposite is a petrol station with a great M&S food shop- great for any breakfast ingredients as well as a large alcohol selection. more

It's what it says on the tin! A newly built Traveloge on the outskirts of the town. All ok with our stay and staff polite. You can get basic breakfest food from the service station oposit if you require, will cost you though. Good as a stopover, nothing more though. more

We booked a few nights in this Travelodge as it was close to where my cousin was getting married. It was clean and the room was plenty big enough for the two of us, shame there was no bar or breakfast facilitles. Would go again if it were just a few days but if it were for a holiday would... more

This travelodge seemed quite new, and was nice and very clean. The staff were very good. Don't follow hotel directions , we did and got very lost, but the receptionist guided us by phone! There's nothing in the area, but drinks and snacks are available in the reception. Good for a stopover and I would stay again. more

My wife had stayed at the Premier Travel Inn at Glenrothes previously and found it to be very good. It has a restaurant and bar connected to it so it is all very convenient. On this occasion I made the booking for the family and thought by telephoning Travel Lodge Glenrothes I was getting the same place as my wife.... more

I've stayed at this Travelodge twice recently, the first time for one night in June and more recently for three nights (10th, 11th, 12th July). The place is pretty new so it is obviously still in good condition. The rooms at a Travelodge are *very* basic. They are well-laid out though and not too cramped. The staff we met were... more
