We stayed at this hotel the night prior to an open day at St Andrews university but apparantly is very popular with golfers too. It is about 20 miles from St Andrews and has ample free parking. The area is on the business park ring road and there is a very nice pub next door for a good bar meal. The... more

I only stayed for one night, but was treated very well during my stay. I was greeted by a lovely girl that chekced me in efficiently and politely. I had a couple of requests that night that she was only too happy to deal with. I found the rooms to be of an excellent standard for the price. more

Stayed here for TITP last year, I've just gotten round to writing a review as I am looking to stay here again for this years festival. Perfect location in Glenrothes, about £30 for a taxi to Markinch where TITP is, which is fine with a couple sharing. 5 of us stayed, 3 in a family room and 2 in a... more

I thoroughy enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Despite being part of a huge chain, the staff gave my stay the personal touch; the reception staff are friendly and the housekeeping staff extremely helpful. The hotel is rather quaint, in an excellent location within Glenrothes, I was staying for a wedding and it was very close to the where I... more

Overall a decent hotel and pretty good value for money. Rooms are the standard modular Holiday Inn Express so no surprises. Check in staff reasonably helpful. You get what you pay for and this is a good reliable value for money hotel. Breakfast is included and is pretty fair. Stay here rather than paying a lot more for some hotel... more

Just want to say my partner and myself have stayed here a few times when on holiday in Scotland or just a weekend break. Have always found it clean, quiet and comfortable, its just a shame all the rooms are now non-smoking. Continental breakfast is included in the price & there is a really nice bar next door - 'The... more

I booked two rooms as there were four of us and a young baby,as we were attending a wedding at nearby Balbirnie House-we were staying for two nights and my in-laws were staying for three nights.Although I had given my credit card details when I made the booking for the two rooms,my in-laws were strangely charged for their room each... more

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Glenrothes. LOCATION: Location wise, we didn't go out anywhere but it was located off one of the main interchanges onto the motorway that goes to Dundee and Edinburgh. It is also a perfect stop-over point if you want to go to St Andrews, as we... more

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first was over the Christmas Period 2005, and I had an enjoyable stay then. This time the stay was ok, but it has gone a little downhill. The room was spotless, no doubt about that. However it is the silly little things that let you down. I stay... more
