This hotel is a typical Express by Holiday Inn (having stayed at a few now) and the rooms and reception areas, etc are clean and tidy. I found the staff particularly helpful. Stayed here while doing the tourist thing in Edinburgh. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Edinburgh from here but the hotel is great for the price. This is a modern (ie new) Holiday Inn Express, on the outskirts of Dunfermline, handy for the adjacent motorway going north or south. Big bedroom, shower but no bath, average smellies/drink sachets, satellite tv, and continental breakfast. Lots of free parking, with a big 24 hr ASDA across the road. A good overnighter but nothing else to commend it. more

The location is good--a mile or so from a train station with free parking. It's a short train ride into Edinburgh. The room was clean and nice, and we had no problems. There was no extra charge for calls made on our calling card. more
