The hotel is situated just off a busy dual carriageway. I arrived by taxi and realised that there was nowhere to eat within safe walking distance. It's possible to walk to a Harvester along an unlit unused road, but not ideal without a car or in the dark. The room was adequate and the bed very comfortable. Other points to... More

Made the mistake of visiting Edinburgh on business during Festival time while booking accommodation very late. The outcome was 7 nights at a Travelodge in Dunfermline - while initially disappointed at the thought of staying in an 'doge - the reality has exceeded my expectations. The rooms are clean, well appointed and represent very good value for money - £36... More

This was our 3rd year stop, it has been upgraded now and nothing is too much trouble, comfy bed, slept well and an ideal visitor's stop for Edinburgh and surrounding areas, only complaint is the smell of the handwash, not nice.

This is one of the newer Travelodges, having been built less than 10 years ago, and still looks very clean and fresh. I have stayed here over a dozen nights. The receptionist was very friendly, the bed was very comfortable, and all the other facilities were fine. It is extremely well placed for Edinburgh, just half an hour away and... More

No problems spotless rooms. No bar or cooked breakfast but enough in local area so not an issue would stop here again. Staff friendly and informative had a bit of noise from motorway but didn't really bother me no other noise otherwise all in all a well run hotel .

We use this Travelodge every Dec 28th to go to a concert in Dunfermline but stay for the New Year. I cannot believe how cheap it is for new year and only 30 mins from Edinburgh town centre. Fantastic chippy across the roundabout and brilliant breakfast at the Harvester two mins away. It is always friendly and clean with fantastic... More

Excellent friendly staff. Nice clean and well maintained Travel Lodge. Everything you need for example eating outlets and super store very close. Park and ride facility close by if you need to travel into the major cities by bus. Would stay here again with no hesitation.

Stayed here for 2 nights as I was moving house. Receptionist extremely friendly. Room was one of the refurbished types, lovely and clean, nice bed. Asked for additional teabags and got them. No hair dryer although you can ask to borrow one I had my own. Located next to 2 busy roads so you do get traffic noise. Not as... More

It was T in the Park time. So it was £97 for a basic room off the motorway at Dunfermline with one towel between 2 of us (the other had already been used). Not even a hairdryer and no facilities to speak of other than a vending machine which was mainly empty. It was clean though and the bed was... More

Despite what must be a challenging weekend for the hotel staff, nothing was too much trouble. We travelled up in a mixed group of friends / teenage kids and they looked after us all. They were only too happy to lend a hand setting up additional beds, give extra towels / tea / coffee / cups etc and book taxis... More
