We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this hotel once again. We were given a deluxe room although we had only booked a standard. The staff were very friendly and attentive as always. The food was really good. (We were on DBB). This Hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the City of Edinburgh. Attractions such as the Falkirk Wheel and... More

This is our second stay at Pitbauchlie. Whilst I acknowledge the hotel may be 'a bit tired' what a warm welcome received. We booked bed breakfast and evening meal but unfortunately I am suffering with laryngitis. So we cancelled the evening meal. Without any issues and when we paid the bill the evening meal charged was removed. The room very... More

Last night was my first stay at the Pitbauchlie, purely due to both the Keavil House and Orocco Pier being fully booked. Comments from my colleagues, who live in the Dunfermline area, were hardly positive. Their perception that the hotel was "tired" and "past its best" turned out to be a fair reflection. This was no issue for me and... More

Stayed just an overnighter. Positives : clean hotel, nice rooms, decent tv, wifi, food really good. Good value. Negatives : air con is broke apparently so it's a toasty stay. Other guests seemed fine but I was uncomfortable and staff agrees a common complaint. Serving staff were friendly but showed a lack of training eg starters cleared and main put... More

We have now stayed in Pitbauchlie House Hotel twice and each time, it was an excellent stay. They accommodated our small dogs with trouble and there are ample grounds to walk the dog. The hotel caters for a lot of functions and weddings and each time we stayed, there was a function on. However, you are so well insulated from... More

We didn't stay in this hotel, but we went there to eat in the bistro. The food was good an the service reasonably nice. Nothing excellent, but a solid four star rating. It's a good choice if you're staying nearby and don't want to venture further into the town center.

My partner and I stayed a night here just to get away for a night and a change of scenery. Hotel looks clean and tidy and I have no faults to say about anything about the hotels cleanliness , facilities or food etc. Everything that way was perfect. However, ( and I do accept that this is out of the... More
