The hotel had been booked by my company and I had little knowledge of it or what to expect. I was given queen room which was spacous and clean. The bathroom was a decent size and well looked after. When I was going to the resturant for dinner I was shocked to see how small the bar was and that... more

I stayed at Keavil for one night in June 2007. The hotel looks great from the outside, but my room was disappointing. A single small room and I mean small, the decoration was on the shabby side and the TV did not work. I was on a business trip and therefore was looking forward to quiet evening watching some TV... more

I stayed for one night while on a business trip.. The staff in both the reception and restaurant made me feel very welcome, and the room was fantastic. I would certainly recommend paying a little extra for a superior room, room number 14 was more of a suite, with separate sitting room and bedroom and fantastic views out across the... more

Stayed at hotel for a few days visiting Edinburgh. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little dated but clean. Hotel is outside of Dunfermline. It is not near any resturants, although there is a resturant inside the hotel. We had difficulties finding resturants in Dunfermline open for dinner. Rather difficult to get to Edinburgh by train or... more

Stayed with my wife for a couple of nights to visit friends nearby. Great health club and spa etc but it got a little crowded with the non-resident members at times. Adjacent to the hotel there is nothing apart from the high street (Dunfermline town is just nearby though) Well fitted out room with LCD tv/radio etc and tea making... more

A nice small hotel although I was disappointed to see it was so close to a local, modern housing estate as I was expecting it to be in the middle of nowhere! The location did not cause a problem except that it made the leisure club very busy on the Saturday which put us off using it until the Sunday... more

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in the Keavil House Hotel recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. The rooms were good and the food was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the staff who were all very pleasant and helpful. In this respect a special mention... more

Have just returned from a weekend break at Keavil House near Dunfermline. When we arrived later than expected on Saturday night (8pm!) there was a wedding in full swing. However, we were fitted in for a meal with no fuss; the staff were extremely efficient and courteous despite being so busy, and the food was fabulous. The following morning we... more

Just stayed for one night at Keavil House. Tranquil hotel set in some lovely grounds (especially as it was sunny and warm on my visit). I was in room 15 which was sort of on floor 3-4 as the floor seem to be quite small both in size and also in levels. The food at the hotel was very nice... more

We stayed at this hotel for a short break in March and it was a great find. We decided to stay at the hotel because it had leisure facilities and was near Edinburgh. Our room was spacious and well furnished but the real star aspects of the hotel are the superb leisure facilities and the food in Cardoon Restaurant. The... more
