I went there with my daughter, husband and my grandsons age 9 and 1 years old. For a high tea. When we went in ,we were greeted from behind the bar by a nice warm friendly man. The food was good. We were given toast and offered t/coffee none of us took the t/coffee. All the adults had mixed grill... More

Tried for first time this week should have visited quicker and more often, warm welcome, great service, great menu, fantastic fresh food. Have eaten in places all over the world and this place is on my top 10 list now for good wholesome food. No need to go to restaurants that reheat frozen packet food or microwave mush anymore .... All I can say is fantastic!!!!! There were 10 off us and there were no issues at all. The service was lovely the food was excellent. I had the black pudding stack and the fillet steak, it was lovely. Lots of choice on the menu, something for everyone. Lovely place too. Will definitely be back!!!!

Visited for dinner on Sunday. high tea menu was available which had a wide variety of food dishes available and the service was friendly. However, what let it down was sticky tables, decor from the 70's, flat lemonade and what I can only describe as bought in stale cakes for after our main meal. They were truly awful.

My sister returned the favour of a birthday lunch at this unassuming quality restaurant. Never been disappointed here. Warm, friendly, attentive and respectful staff. Great food, well presented and portions just right so have a bit of room for their tasty desserts. All made on the premises. Great coffee too.

This place was a pleasant surprise, I had never been in before but was recommended to me for my birthday meal. The food was very good and all of us highly enjoyed our meal with no faults at all. The staff were all pleasant & very attentive nothing was too much bother for them at all. I would say the... More

This was a favourite of ours a few years back, until it closed. This is the first time we have been back since it opened, and we are very pleased to return. We often go out for meals with our aged Aunty (she's from Newhaven) and to say she is difficult and fussy is something of an understatement. I have... More

Went there today with my girlfriend and sone pals for lunch. Service was excellent. Efficient and pleasant without being overbearing. The food was really quite good. You could tell everything was made fresh and with the emphasis on taste, such a rarity nowadays. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We were served quickly and the man who served us was very friendly and polite The food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long The prices are quite high, as for two of us for lunch it cost £39. Came here with my partner and our son for the first time and we were very impressed. Home cooked food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. On a Friday night it was busy but service was quick. The steak pie was lovely and the cheesecake was huge! Very warm and welcoming. We will be returning. Watch out for the... More
