First try of the Hideaway for a high-tea and we will definitely come back again. All the staff very friendly, very nice bar area and good food. Lovely selecton of cakes as well. Nice to have a place in Dunfermline to go for a good high-tea.

Good food and great service. Nice touch offering all mothers a box of chocolates after meal. Food was presented quickly and staff very friendly. Highly recommended for a low cost pub lunch. The rest of this review is merely just to make up the 200 word minimum for a review......

Been to the hideaway a few times now, service is always very good, the place is warm and inviting, dining furniture is a mix match, but suits my taste! Food is excellent and it's clear things are fresh and home made, Cullen skink is a must have!

Excellent meal. Went with no expectations just thought we would give it a try. Nice cosy atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. The dinner menu choice was not large but what we had was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back.

We loved the Hideaway! The food was delicious, my sister had the fish pie, stuffed full of fish, huge chunks of salmon ,so recommended! We also ordered scampi and lasagne, everything is cooked to order and homemade and you could tell by the taste! My stepdad had the large yorkshire pudding, which came with succulent pieces of beef and a... More

Went to the Hideaway today for my sister's birthday lunch and am so glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. We had lasagne, scampi,Yorkshire pudding and the special fish pie. We all tried each others dishes. It's proper home cooked food just the way we like it!! The staff were very attentive and child friendly. Will definitely be back!!

Popped in on a wet dreich nite and had a very good quality meal, we had the soup of the day (lentil) which was great, main meal was fillet steaks with pepper sauce, which was to-die-for, mushrooms, tomatoes and side order of onion rings all cooked to perfection, finished off with melt in the mouth toffee cheesecake with ice-cream, service... First time We have been back at the Hideaway since it was closed some time ago. We may have been a little hesitant due to the couple of poor reviews however, the people who wrote these must be living on a different planet from the rest of us. The food is freshly cooked with fresh ingredients, not like many of... More
