Excellent value for money! Clean comfortable room, staff very friendly and helpful, will definitely be back when in the area, rooms far enough away from the bar and main road for a quiet night sleep. Great Central location to town and amenities too!

Stayed here in June as the Travelodge was full. We booked in as two couples. Only one night to suffer the place, Thank God !!! Only positive was the friendly receptionist when booking in, but alas not one person to be found anywhere that night or the following morning. No food available, just the suggestion that we should have breakfast... More

Worst hotel ever. I don't care about dated decor etc. I do care about having a clean room and a comfortable bed, neither was provided here. LIVE bare wires hanging from the wall (see pic) the tranquil sound of the lift doors opening in the middle of the night were some of the highlights of my stay.

Stayed for 6 nights as the travel lodge was fully booked Sink was blocked so had to turbo wash and brush teeth each morning before flooding occurred. Dropped the remote to the telly and had to move the bed to retrieve it only to reveal years of detritus accumulation there. If your room is anywhere near the lift brace yourself... More

I'm not really comfortable writing a bad review, I try and see good in most places but this place was dire.. And I wasn't expecting much! We went in and the first thing we noticed was the smell.. Yuck! Managed to get hold of a receptionist in the bar, checked in and paid no problem. Found the room. Room was... More

Stayed here 1 night as we wanted to visit the Falkirk wheel whilst travelling around Scotland. Sadly, it was the worst of 7 hotels/B&Bs even though it was priced the same as some others. The whole place needs updating, my room didn't feel clean & even if I had had towels, I wouldn't have used the shower as it was... More

Booked this for a wee night away with my wife as fancied somewhere different. Must say yes some parts need a little TLC but can be expected with wear and tear but could see that it undergoing refurbishment. On our way back to the room we decided to visit the bar and must say didn't feel out of place with... More

As reviewer VOD89 says this place is cheap but not cheerful. Ended up here when other accommodation we had in Edinburgh was double booked and as we had pricey Tattoo tickets and everywhere in a 50mile radius was either booked or extortionately priced, we had little choice. Firstly our rooms 110 and 108 were clean, some redecoration had taken place... More

The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff and central location. Everything else was didisappointing. The car park is small and packed with cars and surrounding roads disabled or shop delivery only. Found staff behind the bar and a dog bed in reception After checking in to a red n black colour themed room with the old green... More

This hotel is deceptive in that the exterior leads the visitor to believe it is small. Once we checked in, which is on the lower ground floor, we were taken up some short flights of stairs to the original ground floor and it was like stepping into a tardis. The staircases were wide and the whole Hotel had an art... More
