Serious lack of maintenance in the room. We booked as a double but when we arrived it was a twin, we straightened that out eventually and it looks like we got the last room, the one you only use in emergencies! The room was bordering on being unsafe, loose sink, loose lights, damaged dangerous tap, dirty & dusty (you could... More

I stayed in this hotel on a weekend night. There was a wedding reception going on with a loud disco that went on long past midnight. The noise was so loud that it caused the bathroom floor of my room to vibrate and it was difficult to sleep through this level of noise. The decor throughout the hotel is tired... More

We met our friends here (the golden girls) Who were staying overnight "Susan R" has already written a review on the hotel but I would like to add that the food was great value for money and the staff were friendly and efficient and actually looked like a good team who enjoyed working there. We had our dinner there and spent... The hotel is OK if you are looking for a budget night away and the price reflects the what you will find when you get there. Although the rooms have been given a bit of a modern make-over, scratch underneath the surface and you'll find a 1970's hotel trying to get out. The bedroom walls are pretty thin, so if... More

Staff were very pleasant and helpful,Food was excellent. We were a party of three joined by two friends, there were no complaints about food, which was plentiful, nicely presented, and appropriate temperature, really quick service, and very good value for money. We had a triple room, which was clean and well furnished, and had plenty extra floor space. Out look not great... More

Very unprepossessing building which could definitely do with some TLC. However the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the restaurant excellent value for money for the evening meal. Unfortunately we were there on the night of a wedding so it was understandably a bit noisy!

The good points first, the front reception staff excellent and helpful, nice modern bar but I was disappointed with the location my fault I didn't check but it is on the edge of a housing estate with tower blocks looming however that would not have been an issue if everything else was OK but whilst the room was good the... We stayed at the Cladhan for two nights just before Christmas. The hotel was quiet and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was no hot water in our room for either of the two days. When we mentioned this at Reception, we were told it was because the hotel was quiet and... More

Great value and intimate surroundings in the restaurant and bar. The food (unlike sister hotel The Beancross) is very good and never had any complaints. The service is a little too speedy but other than that the staff are friendly and chatty. I would definately recommend for a great value mid-week lunch or dinner.
