Last year we were in the roof; this year we booked earlier and secured one of the larger first floor rooms at the back (so very quiet). Otherwise not much has changed. Cooked breakfast is still impressive, and there is plenty of choice if you do not fancy that, including nice croissants. Owners and breakfast helper very friendly and helpful.... More

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We had a clean and quiet room and the breakfast was very good. The distance into the City of Edinburgh was OK for walking but buses are recommended. Next time we would prefer book an en-suite room.

This is an excellent place for a trip to Edinburgh. The peole are more than friendly and helpful. Rooms are cosy and clean and the btreakfast helps you through the day. The walk into the City is a bit long (but there is public transport around). The best B&B in town!

What a welcoming and spotlessly clean place to stay. The owners were very pleasant, very friendly and inviting and couldn't do enough for you and made sure you were well fed at breakfast time. Location was also within easy reach of the city centre. We would definately stay here again

I don't usually write reviews, but wanted to make an exception for Classic Guest House, as we felt it was the best B&B we've stayed in. I really couldn't fault it. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and provided lots of really useful local information on our arrival. We stayed for just over a week. The breakfasts were delicious,... More

We booked this guest house for a mid week stay of three nights, based upon the great reviews on here, and the excellent value for money. We were not disappointed! The location is fab. A ten minute bus journey into the centre, with FREE on road parking literally just round the corner. Being out of the city centre, this is... More

My wife and I stayed at Classic Guest House for two nights mid of July 2014. It was an excellent stay at Classic house in Edinburgh! Fine price-performance Ratio For visiting the Attractions of Edinburgh, we took the Bus (£3.50 / day / Person). Bus Station is approx. 400 Meters away in the next Mail Road. Busses run every 5... We stay for a week. The Breakfast was very good. We cut like to have too keays. When week was gone the room was not clean at all and the toilet was very dirty. And we have the smallest room om the Guest house and on the top, not good for a week. Nice people there.

This is definitely the worst B&B I've ever visited with the rudest owner who got very angry for absolutely no reason at all. When we booked, we were told that we would get a family room with two double beds, but we were given a double room with a put-up bed. The mattress covers were very dirty and old with... More

My wife and I stayed at the Classic Guest House for three nights early July . Accommodation was very nice . Our room was a small double en suite and was very comfortable . A very tasty breakfast was served every morning . Would highly recommend the Classic Guest House .
