What is otherwise an outstanding hotel is spoilt by the unfriendliness and rudeness of the restaurant staff. After being "put in my place" for moving tables, something I had to do in order to actually get up to get something to eat and drink, I proceeded to go around towards the buffet area space in order to get my food.... We visited in June last year and had a great stay. This year everything had changed. We had a room on the side overlooking the car park and the room cooling system didn’t work well so we opened the window and the traffic outside was very loud. The staff were miserable, the reception smelt of chlorine from the swimming pool... More

Nice hotel, good staff, but, even with 2 post codes and street name, my Sat Nav had serrious trouble finding this hotel, There was a railway line between , where the sat nav took me ans where the hotel was, took 40 minutes extra to get there.

I have stayed here before, and have always liked the fact that the hotel is very reasonably priced for Edinburgh and has great transport links, which are even better now the tram has finally arrived! It's a good hotel, nice spacious rooms, with (very) big beds, and an iron and fridge in every room which is a bonus. If you... More

Cannot fault this hotel for value for money. It is ideal if you are travelling by car because you can park it there and take train or tram into city centre. Rooms are quiet and beds are comfy. Fridge in room is excellent because it cools things - sounds easy bust most hotel fridges blow hot air! Gisele my first... More

Edinburgh We were visiting for a weekend and chose this hotel because it was markedly cheaper than others of the same star rating in the city itself. Whilst it is a nice hotel, the location itself Is pretty ropey, being sandwiched between a retail park and the motorway. That didn't bother us at all; beautiful Edinburgh was what we'd come... More

recently spent two nights on a business trip. Rooms were clean, current, and mostly comfortable. Climate control allowed ability to cool room, allowing for a good sleep. Rooms do not support 110v power as most hotels do, requiring a power converter. Close to rail station, making it very convenient to travel into town, or the airport. Would I stay again... More

Just had a weekend at Novotel Edinburgh Park. We have been coming here for a few years and noticed certain areas looking a bit tired. We had two rooms, and both rooms had stains on carpets and one room had cracked bathroom tiles. The Restaurant is in need of an update. The carpet has seen better days and is puckered... More

I have stayed several times in the last 2 years for business, last time in October 2014. Service in all areas in excellent, this last time my colleagues and I were amazed of the great service received in the restaurant by Murray: he is a credit to the company. Breakfast buffet has a great selection and you can order several... More
