My sister and I stayed at the Roselea Guest House for 2 nights, run by David and Susan Lapping. We arrived early Friday morning to tour Edinburgh before taking a Greyline tour bus up to the highlands early
on Saturday (2 hours+ drive) to see the Braemar Royal Highland Games.
The cab ride was about 15 minutes and 15 pounds with a small tip added, but there appears to be a very frequent bus coming from the airport for only a couple pounds that we could have taken too - we just didn't think to look for it.
David had breakfast waiting for us when we arrived, french toast, bacon, 2 kinds of sausage, stewed tomato, toast, juice and coffee (all included with the room). And he gave us a map to the downtown, some suggestions on where to eat, plus a card with his address, phone
