We stayed at Four Hill Street at the beginning of our 2 week trip to Scotland. The location was fabulous, just minutes to Princes Street shopping and gardens and a few more to Waverly Train Station. Charlotte Robinson was a lovely hostess. They have toddler, and one more baby on the way. Her husband, I apologise, I can't remember his... more

I stayed at this place with my mom. We were wary because of only a few reviews. But my interaction via email with the host of the place was impeccable, so I kept my reservation. This place is totally unassuming from the outside, but the inside is great. Our Room was Bruce, right next to the kitchen - but we... more

It took me a bit to write this, but it did need to be written. Our stay was absolutely lovely!! First of all the location is fabulous, the room (Lawson on the first floor) was spectacular - Spacious, fabulously decorated, and so very charming, the restroom and shower was a bit small, but very modern and luxurious, the bed was... more

I have to say I stay regularly and have done since it opened a year or so ago. I'm a regular in Edinburgh and find this is the only place I can stay where I actually sleep like I would at home. Edinburgh is a noisy place, whereas I live in the peace and quiet of the countryside. What helps... more

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Was not disturbed by noise though you can hear people walking about sometimes. This is expected I guess in a very old house. Did not hear the baby. The bathroom was small but very good quality. Superb location. I would definetely stay here again. The breakfast was good (takes a little time- but... more

The room was beautiful, the bathroom top of the line (albeit small) with an amazing shower, and a location that couldn't be beat. It was classic Georgian elegance filled with tasteful antiques. So it is difficult to post a so-so review, but the owners' baby screaming before 7:00AM woke us up on several occasions, and our room, next to the... more

We appreciate the kind compliments of this reviewer but must make some comments on the noise that they encountered during their stay. Whilst we cannot apologise for living as a family in our own home, it is most unfortunate that these guests were disturbed by our baby during their stay. She is usually a good sleeper but has had a...

I had a lovely stay there with my wife for our wedding anniversary. We live in Edinburgh, but this b&b is right in the centre of town so it was brilliantly located for our special night out - no need to worry about getting home - the b&b is a 2 minute stroll from the restaurant. It is a beautifully... more

Chill out in the centre of the world's coolest city in true luxury. You will find the best of everything at Four Hill Street, run with pride by the welcoming Robertsons. I had a wonderful stay in their home - great food, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and all this surrounded by georgian splendour. I will definitely... more

What a fantastic place. Beautiful rooms with those little extra touches (teddy bear on the bed, chocolates next to the bed) and all the usuals too. You are made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Honestly can't praise this place enough, it was PERFECT and we will definately be making a trip there again soon. more
