We stayed here on the 19th of Jan 2013, and had an amazing time :) we booked it through glasgow great deals and the package was amazing for 69 pounds. First impressions of hotel was that it was very nice and actually quite big ,staff were very friendly and got dealt with instantly, we stayed in room 5 right next... More

Thank you so much to everyone at the Minto for making our stay so memorable. Tracey we cannot thank you enough, your warmth and enthusiasm to make all guest welcome was unbelievable and Stuart you are so helpful and kind. The young receptionist and the wonderful lady at breakfast just added so much to our stay. Nothing was too much... More

We made the booking through Glasgow Great Deals and only paid around £70 for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.(For 2) On the whole the accomodation was ok and we were really impressed by the breakfast. (Lovely service from the waitress) One real disappointment was the dinner. I was lead to believe, rightly or wrongly, that this was to be in the... More

With the public bus to the city just outside the door, this is a good location when staying in Edinburgh. The Minto Hotel is a 3-star hotel, with more than adequate facilities - including a restaurant/cafe, wifi in the rooms, a lounge area and car parking. The rooms and en suites are clean and comfortable. As with all hotels in... More

We stayed at the hotel over a Friday and Saturday night. The room we were allocated had just enough room for the double bed, i.e. i had to squeeze between the bottom of the bed and wardrobe and then the side of the bed and the wall to be able to get into bed. Having said that the bed was... More

Be sure to bring along a brass band to gain the barman's attention when ordering a lunch from the concessions menu. Otherwise you will be charged full rate. His loss at tip time. Shame really as the hotel is popular in this area.

The hotel and room were clean enough - in fact, the room was so recently cleaned that the smell of bleach hit me as soon as I opened the door! However, on closer inspection the shower was pretty grotty and moldy. The room itself was warm, and even though I own larger shoe boxes, there was everything I needed for... More

We chose this hotel as it was a couple of hundered metres from where our son is newly installed in a flat. On check in on Friday evening we were met by the decibels of a disco in full flight right off the entrance and a number of well-oiled patrons in the foyer. "We'd like to check in" "What did... More

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Booked as a cheap deal with Great Deals, Prosecco and chocolates included was a nice touch. ,Bed very comfortable, modern, clean and comfortable room with a nice wee view to the back garden The fact that you can park outside and are only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile and...
