Staff very cold and unprofessional as they handed my change from their jacket pocket and not a money box and used crappy space heaters (two of them) and an extra old duvet, we needed to for a drafty room placed right below the entrance stairs. Charged us a whopping 170 pounds which would be fine during Hogmany if we were... More

We booked this hotel because it's cheap as the period is peak period. Anywhere else in Edinburgh or near to the town center is very expensive. So we do not expect much from the price that we had it. The location is quite convenient as there are buses for you to get to the town center. This hotel is in... More

We arrived just before 2pm & asked the young girl if we could possibly leave our bags as we were @15 mins early to get into our room. Unfortunately, she appeared to have no idea what we were saying as she didn't seem to speak English. When we were given the keys it was like going back in time. Threaded... More

This was a last minute booking as we had tickets to the proclaimers ,it was cheap. After booking we read some reviews and I don't think any of them were very good, however if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head the Adelphi is clean if a bit dated but the staff were pleasant and helpful

This hotel must be the worst we have spent a night in - it must be avoided at all costs. Its ONLY saving grace is the view of the park across the road. The TV didn't work and the decor was dated and in desperate need of a refurb. The staff were unusual to say the least. We had to... More

We paid £78 for one night here. It's not awful and I must say the staff are very nice but they switch the heating off over summer....which I have issue with. After all it's Scotland not Kenya you know? Bed was comfortable and the Internet was good. No breakfast despite price. Single glazing means heating such be on. Felt like... More
