We had a comfortable, pleasant stay. Julia was an excellent hostess. Her knowledge of the area and local transport allowed us to turn in the car early. Excellent bus service into city center. Short, inexpensive, on-time cab ride to airport - which Julia arranged. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance, or a 5 minute bus ride. Our room was... more

This was the first time i had ever travelled to Edinburgh, or Scotland, so prior to the trip i did a lot of research into BnB accom as i wanted to make sure myself and my father, stayed somewhere we'd really enjoy and feel comfortable. Out of the hundreds of accom i checked out (I think i literally checked out... more

Having grew up in Corstorphine, I knew there were lots of bed and breakfasts around the area, but Ardbrae is by far one of the best. Julia Made us feel so welcome and was the perfect host. Our room was lovely and there was everything we could need and more. We were in Edinburgh for a wedding and it was... more

We spent three most enjoyable days at Ardbrea House. We choose this B&B because it's easy to reach from the airport (taxi 10-12GBP) and has a very good bus connection to the city center. What we found when we got there was much more. Julia made us feel very welcome and was a great help in organizing birthday surprises (everything... more

This is the place to be when exploring Edinburgh and/or as a starter for a round trip in Scotland. Close to the airport (4 miles, GBP 12 by cab or airport bus but you´ll have to walk the last 2 hills) and with an excellent connection to Edinburgh city via bus 26. Julia (and Inky ;o)) will give you the... more

This guest house could not be better, idealy located between airport and city. Rooms are very refreshing and comfortable and exceptionaly clean. Breakfast is first class. Run by a very friendly family you realy feel at home, Julia is very helpful in supplying information for buses, trains, and places to dine out. Enjoyed my stay and will certainly stay again.... more

I have travelled now for on and off 11 years and stayed in many types of accommodations around the world (I am in Jordon as I type this) and this is simply the best B & B I have ever stayed in. Do yourself a favour and when your in Edinburgh go and stay there. The lady that runs it... more

We spent there two nights with our children. Bedrooms are very comfortable, The place is close to a busy road, but the good quality windows suppress all the noise A bus stop (direct to town center) is just on the other side of the road. The place is also quite close to the airport. Breakfast was great, with possibility to... more

We had a lovely stay at Ardbrae house. Julia is so friendly and helpful and made us feel like we were at home. She really knows the area and gave us great tips and sight seeing advice. The B&B is spic and span, so cozy, and a lovely and comfortable place to stay. more
